Just because it's on the interweb doesn't make it fact
?

OK, but see above. “Admitting the article is old and the Mojave was new… I also questioned some of their content in said article.”

People are always so quick to persecute the messenger…

You sort of disagree then validate my sentiment.

I did becuase of what you said " It's not a one-size-fits all truck and never will be." - which is true if you think about the Gladiator offers 2 different models, thats it. On the other hand ANY Jeep is like an AR15 where you can literally customize anything you want, so they can be a one size fits all.

Bottom line is just this…

The Mojave is BUILT FOR high(er) speed desert running. That does not mean and/or include slow-ass rock crawling, towing your $100K Airstream, etc.

I get why some/a lot/seemingly most want to add all the extra weight of steel this and that, big wide tires, etc. but that defeats it’s actual intended purpose, which the added weight is not at all beneficial for. More of a hindrance.

The following YouTube video screenshot… he had interior mounted cameras and the landing was SMOOTH AF. Try that in your STOCK Rubicon and other.

That's great, but not true at all. Just because it's on the interweb doesn't make it fact.

I can tell you from first-hand experience that the lower offset is 100% not needed for shock clearance.
So what is the purpose or is it just to change the stance?

Exactly, I never understood why the Mojave trim doesn’t get the aluminum hood since weight is your enemy in desert running plus the extra cost of the aluminum is better absorbed in the pricing structure of the upper level trims.

You get to use the extra $2000 worth of decent shocks every time you drive it.
the shocks are the star of the show. And with no rocks, the 4:1 transfer case doesn't get to shine in it's element.
My thoughts exactly- the thing just rides and drives better than the rest.
Rubicon T-case: I hated the 4:1 in out Rubicon.

What's the life span of the factory shocks? Has anyone had to rebuild them yet or seen any fail?

Eh.... I don't really care. I'm having so much fun in my Rubicon that I'm not thinking much about a Mojave. Maybe if I wear this Rubi out.....but they will probably have something better by then...

Yes both the Rubicon and Mojave hood are non functioning. Rubicon has drain to drain water under the insulation, a lot of guys open them…..Jack
As for Rubicon versus Mojave debate , from the factory the Rubicon is the ultimate version of the Gladiator made, with biggest thing being the front locker , followed by the sway bar disconnect followed by the low geared transfer case, and was avalible with the diesel. We always have to be better, the Max Tow optioned Sports are the best starting point to built a off-road ready Gladiator, the Overland gets better gas mileage and has very nice highway ride, Mojave is better then a Rubicon ,Willys is the best bang for the buck. It never stops it is human nature, and these threads just keep coming.

They make all the different trim levels to meet different needs not everyone needs Max Tow, Rubicon, Overland, Sport , High Altitude, Freedom , Willys, but they all do need the most amazing God Damn Gladiator ever made ….THEIRS!
Mine is a Mojave works for me love it!
