While Not quite ready for a lift (just under 2700 miles on a year old gladiator as I’m working on building it up), I am looking very closely at this. I have the extended warranty and doubt I’ll hit the mile expiration (80k) before the years (10 years).

It makes sense to me to go the mopar route but wasn’t impressed with reviews on the fox lift. Bilstein seems to be popular and i spoke to one of their engineers who said this is more closely to the 5160 than the 5100 which seems to be the consensus here.

Would love to see some reviews in the coming months.

Went to the dealer to have my parking brake adjusted (6MT) and they had this Sport sitting out front. They are charging $10,000 for the upgrades, which include new Mopar lift, wheels/tires, bumper, fog lights, and winch.

So does the reservoir mount up front or by the shock?

Does that say $52k suggested retail price before $11k in addons... for a sport?

Interesting. Does Mopar sell these new shocks individually? Did a search and found nothing using the part numbers in the PDF file
Wonder how much better (if any) these are then the Fox 2.5 shocks that originally came with the Mopar lifts?
Monroe shocks are better than the FOX shocks

According to the Mopar Install sheet the fronts are mounted further forward as shown in your first pic, The rears are mounted on the rear shocks.

That was my understanding also. Curious why in the second pic it’s mounted so close to the shock since this one was installed by a dealership and then not to mentioned marked up to a ridiculous amount. Shame on this dealer.

Yeah I was confused looking at them too. I would not fault the dealer just yet, These kits are new and there perhaps may have been a change made to the install sheet. The one we reference is dated July 2023 so we would like to think its accurate and up to date.

I had replaced the factory Bilstein shocks on my sons 2005 ZR2 blazer for Monroe front reflex shocks and they suck ballz. Swapped them out for Rancho 5000's which were so much better. So while maybe some applications maybe better, I have not found that to be the case for Monroe shocks

Based on the length of the reservoir hose shown, visually, it doesn’t look like mounting them much further forward was an option.

In the instructions it certainly appears to show a much longer hose between the res and body.

My point was the FOX suck. I had Ranchos that blew out on My Xtera years ago but were replaced under warranty. I replaced the Bilstein's on my '04 Taco pre-runner in 2019 They were still stock and 15 years old and probably still good I just added a lift and put new Bilstein lift front lift shocks on it. They are still going strong.

Yeah perhaps something was revised along the way, The hose in our/mopars photo does look ample but on the dealer install its obviously not.

That's fine and everyone has their likes and dislikes and experiences. My Fox 2.5's are great on my Gladiator with no issues wheeling, daily driving, etc. Are the resivore bilstens better? Don't know.

Your Rancho's failed, so far my son's worked for his set up with no failures.

I say Monroe sucks buy you have had success with them. Its all good. We are all entitled to our opinions based off personal experience

once i got the rancho that blew out replaced they were great. I am still waiting for Dealer to replace the blown out FOX, 6 months and 4 tires later. It has been a pain. I do have the stock Rubicon FOX shocks too BTW. They are a wearable item so i'd expect at some point it would need to be replaced. Shit the stock Bilsteins in my Taco had 120,000 miles on them and really showed no signs of failing. They just looked ugly and wouldn't fit the 2" lift i put on it. Otherwise they'd probably still be on there.
