speaking of which, I have one, how hard is it to remove it? NJ doesnt get terribly cold

You can unplug the cord from the heater itself, I would say that is pretty easy once you cut all the zip ties off it. If you want to remove the heater element you'll need to get up under the Jeep from what I can tell and then its one bolt to remove.
