People usually post their thoughts on an upgrade after they try it unless they just want to advertise for someone. Iam guessing you work for them since your not offering your opinion on it.

Iam pretty happy with my factory 8.4 head unit but the speakers and tiny sub of the premium system are pretty lame. I would definitely like to do speakers, sub and amp in the future.

I don’t really understand the trend of massive speakers in the sound bar firing straight down ??‍♂

I went for a tunable DSP Amplifier upgrade on the factory Alpine system using mostly all PnP components.

Wow ... that was a beautiful install... very nice pics and great job.. I really like what you did. i went with the bigger speakers in the rear because for me more surface area means more possible BASS (if tuned correctly). Also for the average person what is nice abut the stage 6 is its all there ... no cutting wires no rerouting, it was just simple and also easy to remove and go back to the OEM system. I agree with you about a good dsp and i wish the Pac audio offered more but again we are talking price point and the average consumer/ installer. For the money, stage 6 is a great value. Id love to hear your system sometime... looks amazing.

How tall is this guy? at 6'5" head room is also a major consideration!

At 6'5 that speaker isn't making that much of a difference, you are probably hitting your head on the sound bar already :)

No very close but missing my head and my 6'5" son too. Guess the 21 Mojave seats are the difference.

The sound bar does come down about 3 inches, my son ..... who is 6.... already hit his head on it standing up lol good news is if you just add the 6x9s to the existing sound bar no issue.

Ummm,

I might be wrong, but both the guy in the video and the OP are named Brian. So unless I'm way off the mark here, I think they are one and the same?

I am Brian, the guy in the video who posted this. I thought I had made my thoughts clear in the video. I bought the MB quart system because:

MBQuart has a great name,
I like tweeters that are actually metal instead of silk,
and they have in my opinion the most complete system for an upgrade in the Wrangler or Gladiator on the market.

The best part is I installed a 1200-watt system with subs and three amps and did not cut a single wire. I have installed a few systems in my time and have never been able to do that before. I can put back all of my OEM stuff at the drop of a hat and that's great if i decide to sell the truck.

I agree the alpine system sounds good, for a stock system I would say it's way above par, but the Stage 6 system is another level. I even say in my video if your not really into AMAZING sound or if you are happy with the alpine then don't change it.

Before i did the install I reached out to a couple of other people on the forum for tips and ideas and they were very helpful. I am hoping posting here will .... yes get my video more views, but also help others who want to install the system in their rig. I am open to comments good or bad as well.

Thanks for this video. For the most part I'm happy with the alpine system (I think the factory headliner really helps too).

I really just want crisper highs, I'm torn between just dropping in MBQuart 2 ways in the top of the dash, or that Terra Acoustics front replacements.

I agree with you on the headliner i think it does help, as far as the speakers, the Terra acoustics are very well made and are a super easy install. Great product and a good price. I went with the MB quart because they are a metal tweeter, not silk, Some people don't like highs like that but I do I want them super crisp. When you say tow way are you just thinking of replacing the dash speaker or would you do the knee panel speakers as well?

if your just replacing the dash speakers either brand would be a good choice, One other factor for me deciding on MVquart though is they are also weather resistant, built that way as they are designed specifically for jeeps :)

I love very crisp highs, so the MBQ sounds like the right ticket for me. I was thinking of just getting the JC1-108, which is the top dash speaker from the set. No plans on touching the kick panel ones, I just want the highs brightened a bit.

Got mine installed today. When with Mbquart 6.5 components in soundbar. Everything sound great except my phone. From what I can tell, everything is hooked up correctly. Music sounds fine. Door chimes sound fine, but I can’t hear Siri now except very faintly from rear factory sub. Any suggestion? Or tips?
