We went with the Grand Design 16ML. Great floorplan for a small camper, awesome construction, massive heated tanks. Had mine weighed fully loaded at 4600 pounds. Well within the 6K tow specs. We've towed from North Carolina to Michigan and back with no issues.

I might be looking at getting a small camper for the wife and I. We don’t anticipate anything over a week at a time, and normally will be at a campground with facilities- think national parks.

ive been looking at A frames and smaller fiberglass trailers & am wondering what others here have and are towed by their gladiator.

I have a 21 Sport S w/ max tow. Not new a couple, I’m happy with mine. to campers, have owned pop up, 24’ travel trailer and a small class c in the past.

Looking forward to reading & seeing what this community has
I own a 2020 Max Tow and pulling a NuCamp Tab 400 teardrop. Weighs just less than 3000 lbs and pulls fine. Perfect for a couple, it’s cost a bit on the high end but you get what you pay for.

inTech or nuCamp. We've towed both with a Wrangler and now a Gladiator.

I love my GeoPro 15tb. It is super light and pulls easy. No slides or anything to leak later. King bed, dry bath, stove, refrigerator and convection microwave. All the basics in a nice light package.

We tow a Geo Pro 19 BH. The JTW sags a little so I ordred a pair of air bags to help with sagging. Will install tomorrow. I bought the kit on Amazon. Air Lift 1000 model 60830 for JTs. Will attempt to install tomorrow without removing the springs. ??

It has been suggested that you fold the bags up "hot dog" style and zip tie them in that position to make it easier to fit in between the springs. Then cut the zips once the bag is in position.

Thanks for the idea.

I'll not snub anyone else post on T.T. I've been a owner of 16ft Scamp Deluxe since Nov 2010 and was living in it full time pretty much until recently. Solo living, my original tow vehicle was my 05 Wrangler Unlimited, it was easily towed with weight / sway hitch. Wet bath, (hose and wipe down) had no problems myself other than wear and tear replacement parts (toilet valves and seals, shower drain pump) over the years. The new Scamp's are quite a bit better now than mine. The new doors design, LED lights. I choose it 3500 lbs, easily towed by my current vehicles. Advantages of fiberglass is less potential for leaking, most are build to order (can be a disadvantage), tongue weight is low. Disadvantages: ceiling height. 6ft is it, frame can be a problem area if you don't maintain it "rust", Casita is slightly shorter ceiling, tire size. Other models aka stickies taller ceiling and few other things, disadvantages more potential for leaking, and normally not holding up for longer time. Torsion axle does wear out on Scamp after 10 years or so "at least on mine, sagging". This is some of my experience. I could do a few pages write up on my experience with it, towing a few hundreds of miles trips.
Towing behind my Max-Tow it's not a problem, other than I have to change around my weight dist / sway control hitch. For different hight from Wrangler to it.
Yeah the water heater door is hanging open, I need to get busy and install the tank less water heater I bought for it still.

The left side one can be a P.T.A otherwise jack up and stuff though the springs, plan where your mounting air line fill point(s). I wished I had possible bought the air bags kit for a Dodge pickup, slightly longer air bags.
I tried the zip ties and ended up just stuffing one in without it.
Oops, wear a pair of mechanics type gloves you will bank knuckles a few times at it. The heat shield has a few sharp points possibly.

Just finished installing the air bags. ? %#%. The right side went in much easier than the left one which was a PITA. On the right side, first one installed, I did the air line last. That turned out to be a bad idea. It took me longer to get the line to sit than actually inserting the bag. On the left one, I threaded the line through the puck then installed it on the bag. I used the same cap that came on the bag but on the line end to keep the bag deflated. I jacked up as high as I could go and measured it with my Skectchy-O-meter. I stopped right at the Iffy mark. I did use two jackstands in order to lower the meter readings. ? I wrestled with the bag for about 15 minutes and after a few expletive words I was able to get it in. Since it would not return to the original shape, I decided finish routing the lines all the way to the left corner of the rear bumper. I inflated to 3 psi in order to force the bag into shape. That did the trick. Now I need to take it for a spin to see how it feels.

Sorry for the delay in responding, am in the process of moving, with all the headaches that entails.

Good to hear about your scamp. When I was a lieutenant stationed at Fort Carson in the 80s I rented a Scamp and toured Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier Nat’l Parks. Had a great time & one of my favorite vacations

As part of my moving, we went from Western Wa to eastern ID with a uhaul trailer and back w/o it. The Gladiator did great. Total gas mileage was over 22mpg. Trip there was 17-18 surprisingly.

For 20 years I towed a TT on vacations. 31 ft with a 2500 diesel Ram. I just got tired of the torn up truck lane and everything. Now I pack a bag , call the hotel, eat in restaurants and get there quicker. Towing a TT with my JT is a no-go for me. But I understand the desire to do it.

So, your idea of 'roughing it' now is a Holiday Inn Express ? ? ? :CWL::CWL::CWL::CWL::CWL:

I have been roughing it since the 60s but sometimes I just want an easier way to go. I can still pack it all up and go when I want.
