I know you're looking for aftermarket options, but anyone know what the factory uses?
The factory bedliner is nothing like Rhino Liner or Line-X. They use paint type adhesion promoter wipe down of the area to be sprayed vs. a paint scuff like the previous mentioned companies use.

If you can get under the factory bedliner edge, you can actually peel it up in strips. The actual coating is a two part Polyurea and Isocyanate (Polymer and Hardener) coating similar to the commercial liners but the main disadvantage is the adhesion strength to the bed is lower.

Very similar product and method is used in aviation for walk way path material.

FWIW, I was just quoted $690 for Rhine Extreme, $599 for Bulletliner, here in Connecticut.

Sounds like not paying the factory and having it done aftermarket is the better way to go. Mine is already factory done, but great info, thanks!

Get the installer to specify thickness of the liner. Some places save money by spraying a thinner liner.

Factory liner is not terrible and will hold up fine for most people, just spec wise it is not as great as the more popular professional applied aftermarket liners.

There is a thread around here from a couple of years ago were some people took delivery of their Gladiators and the factory missed applying the factory liner that was ordered. Jeep gave service instructions to the dealership to have them Line-X locally and they would be reimbursed. Line-X was the only approved method they could use.

Just picked up a new to me Gladiator! Unfortunately, it didn't have a spray in liner, so that's on the agenda.

How much would I expect to pay, and what liners do you guys like? I had a Rhino Liner done on my 99 Silverado years ago and liked it's rubbery thickness. I had Lavaliner in my YJ's tub. It was rugged, but not cushy at all, but it held up VERY well.

I'm sure there are others, but don't know much about them, so I'm excited to hear what you all have to say about them.

Thanks!
I just got my Gladiator bed spray lined at Procote in Colorado Springs. He did a perfect job. Charged me $500

Advantage of the factory liner would be the fact it's applied early in the vehicles life when the bed surface is the cleanest and most uniform. Painting and coating is always about the prep.

Aftermarket may be higher quality but to date I've been impressed by the factory liner. It was a must for me knowing how the truck would be used and use it we have. I've had sharp heavy footing brackets bouncing around back there, slide tons of pavers and bricks across it, shoveled a bed of sawdust out and other than being permanently dirty the coating is undamaged.

On a side note, I appreciated the Jeep tailgate cap after seeing the new tacoma's. Tacoma has a kick up on the back side of the gate and a shiny plastic finish that looks like it wouldn't hold up to work for more than a week. At least the plastic cap on the JT is a tough matte material that holds up to abuse, mine has a variety of cuts, gouges and scrapes but doesn't look too worse off from a few feet away. Those are the little details you gloss over on the lot but appreciate down the road.

I think most places doing spray in professionally are that way now a days. The place I went to used Xtreme coatings bedliner. Most places will have samples I am sure.

Question, what are the 5 circular holes in your bed? My '21 JTM does not have them.

I’ve had factory, RhinoLiner, and Line-X in different trucks. All pretty similar in price as I recall. Have Line-X in my Gladiator and in my F-350 work truck and happy with both. F-250 is factory and it is great as well, I was told once (NO reliable source though!) that the Ford factory is Line-X. No idea myself, but it is good as well.

It is not a Line-X product. They use an adhesion promoter wipe down and then spray application of the liner material. Ford and Jeep use the same process.

I did Rhino linings aftermarket and I'm not all that impressed. Did the color and UV treatment, full meal deal.
Had a 3/8" flake come off in the first week or two, I glued it down with superglue and it seems to be holding.
The color was super thin and is scratched through from a set of wheels.
The factory liner in my Chevy and Dodge were definitely better.
Next time I'll go factory or I'll do it myself with Monstaliner. Monstaliner is tinted all the way through, tons of colors too.
