Has anyone taken down some of the trim across the top of the windshield? I need to get some wiring and usb mini plugs routed but don't want to break anything. Tried pulling down easily but nothing comes unattached and I need a little more room than the amount it flexes. TIA

Buy a cheap trim removal tool set on Amazon and pry downward where the clips are. They pop off very easily. Here's a video:

I remember it being a little scary. I started near the center and worked my way out from there. Microphone access was my goal. I wouldn't hesitate pulling it down next time.

Awesome. I have a variety of trim tools already so I will watch the video and give it a shot. Doing something on a brand new truck for the first time can be a little scary. Thanks GA Bros. :)

This video is a little better. Used it when I switched from hard to soft top.

Didn't see you were in Canton! Love that area. Cheers man ?

I ran wires up there for a couple of items and dropping the windshield provided plenty of room and zero risk of breaking that plastic. (the center piece around the mirror stem is really thin and i was afraid to break it)

I'd been doing a lot of research on how to do this as I was concerned about breaking something. I finally just pulled down on the trim and it came loose, lol.

I was wondering if anyone had seal issues after eye-balling the non-panel side of the retainers? I kept all my trim loose and took test drives until I didn't have wind noise. Just curious if I missed anything in the install process because it seems nobody makes comments about adjustments needed.
