So despite a "fixed" pump they are requiring all this to improve reliability . And reduce their long term cost while in warranty. I want to hear from those across the pond if they are getting the same addendum.

I do have the sticker under the hood, but they didn't put the new one on the fuel door (I took photos before the appointment). Also, no addendum was put on my seat or left in the vehicle. It was sitting on the seat when I got back in the jeep.
do you have the sticker under the hood and in the fuel door?
Dealer confirmed that they put it in the glovebox. You would think they would tell you this rather than just put it in there. Thanks!the paperwork is supposed to be delivered. Check your glovebox.
Wow, now we need to replace the fuel filter at every oil change. Thanks for sharingPost Recall you will receive an addendum to your existing manual. I figured I would share some key points within the addendum
1. At Every Oil Change Interval As Indicated By Oil Change Indicator System.
- Replace fuel filter and drain water from the fuel filter assembly
2. In states that use Biodiesel blends greater than 5% (B6-B20) [Example Minnesota in summer months] oil changes and fuel filter replacements are required every 8,000 miles and should not exceed 6 months.
3. [B6-B20] Fuel must be used within 30 days by driving (to less than a quarter tank) and filled with fresh diesel fuel.)
4. Priming the engine : add 2-5 gal of fuel to the tank, Without your foot on the brake push the ignition switch two times. Wait 30 seconds (do this 2x)
5. Commercially available fuel additives are not neccessary for the proper operation of your diesel engine.
6. For "extreme cold" (sub 20 degrees) use "Mopar Premium Diesel Fuel treatment" to assist with cold starts.
7. Diesel used must be from a 'reputable supplier' and be of 'good quality'.
8. No. 2 Diesel fuel meeting ASTM specification D-975 Grade S15.
9. If the vehicle is exposed to etreme cold (below 20 degrees) or is required to operate at cold temps for prolonged periods, use climatized No. 2 diesel fuel or dilute the No.2 diesel fuel with 50% No.1 diesel fuel.
10. If available in your area, a high cetane "premium" diesel fuel may offer improved cold-starting and warm-up performance
11. If the "Water in Fuel Indicator Light" remains on, DO NOT START engine before you drain the water from the fuel filter to avoid engine damage.
12. Fuel dilution of lubricating oil has been observed with the use of Biodiesel fuel. Fuel in oil must not exceed 5%.
---- My take
1. Use fuel from known and trusted fuel stations.
2. Avoid Biodiesel with this engine if possible.
3. Fuel filters at EVERY oil change now..... That's more cost...
4. Before starting vehicle ensure that the water in fuel indicator light turns OFF every time.
yep they know for sure that the pumps are not reliable. This sounds like a bunch of legal-ese CYA bull. If you don’t follow these absurd maintenance requirements and have documentation to back it up they can hang you out to dry.
It's a 'new' pump that looks identical to the old one, it does have slightly different markings FYI.Just got mine back from the dealer yesterday. No paperwork anywhere in the vehicle, just a sticker under the hood. With the additional maintenance makes me wonder if they are just replacing it with the same pump.
They stuck mine in the glove box but didn't mention anything...might want to check thereJust got mine back from the dealer yesterday. That guy is still doing his skits. I remember when he was called out on mistakes from the public and retracted some statements.
Start at 5:50.
My dealer told me that the first allocation of pumps they received were for the '23s the dealers had on stop sale, so I would say not all 23s had the new pump. I would hazard a guess that only the ones produced after the recall parts were released had the new pump, but that is a guess on my part.Did the 23s have the new parts from factory?
I'm using Red Line Oil 85+ Catalyst. A maintained dose of 1OZ for every 5 Gal for lubbing the pump.
Been using 95-99 Renewable #2. All the research I did shows it's the way to go.
