Anyone have a recent report come back?
I mailed my last one a month ago and nothing yet.

Thanks. Hopefully that means mine will be very soon.Sent my last sample in on 10/23. Received the report on 11/29.
What does Blackstone do? And with what sample? I tried Googling "Blackstone" and just got an asset management company, which obviously doesn't apply.Thanks. Hopefully that means mine will be very soon.
Oil analysis. Send in a sample, pay a small fee and they analyze the oil for various things. What does Blackstone do? And with what sample? I tried Googling "Blackstone" and just got an asset management company, which obviously doesn't apply.

Hurtful pragmatismI'd not be concerned unless you are seeing something abnormal.
And if there's a problem - it's a bit late to look at the oil analysis.
I did fail to account for at least one other reason for wanting an analysis - to see how the oil is doing and if it's fine to carry on, carry forward, or if it should be changed now rather than later.Hurtful pragmatism
Nah. I replace when it's sampled.I did fail to account for at least one other reason for wanting an analysis - to see how the oil is doing and if it's fine to carry on, carry forward, or if it should be changed now rather than later.
As I would be, honestly.Nah. I replace when it's sampled.
I'm just getting antsy since it's been a month.
Yeah, I'm sticking with every 5,000 on this one. I don't drive much more than you do, and I don't care if it costs a bit more, I don't trust it to go 10,000.As I would be, honestly.
I can say how it should be and rationalize why I should just stop checking my email or the mail box, but reality trumps all and there I am.......... wondering.
I draw it out through the dipstick tube a bit before I expect to change the oil - so part of my reasoning is seeing how clean or not clean the oil is. If I had to wait 4 to 6 weeks, I'd wait to take a sample and then change oil anyway.
I checked in my book and my last oil change was way last fall - but I've only gone 3,500 miles on this oil.
