My rear axel light comes on in 2 wheel drive I can turn it off but then it just flashes, I hear there is an adaptor I can buy that goes in-between sensor and harness plug, can anyone tell me where I can buy this?

Sounds like a faulty sensor, I believe that is what most with the same issue have found out. Is it under warranty? I would take it in for sure if it is, I believe some folks have said the entire rear end has to be replaced due to the issue. That may have changed, but something to be aware of.

There's a locker sensor that can flood with axle lube and short out. For a weirdly long time during COVID part shortages, there was no supply of replacement sensors so dealers would actually swap out the entire axle. That's no longer true

The sensor can also just get gunked up with metal particles on a magnet and throw a blinking light - that just needs cleaning off. And you should clean it off every time you change the lube.

Z Automotive also makes a bypass harness that just disables the locker sensor, so the Jeep always thinks it's working. Seems to have no real downside. This is separate from the Tazer

No it is a locker bypass thing.
I have mine in my Mojave since 91 miles, and over 37,000 now. My dealer is cool and great actually, they know I put it in and think it was the right thing and will do the warranty replacement whenever I want but sensors were on back order of 450 units at that time. Do not wait long and drive your Jeep much ,the more times it happens the sooner the Jeep will think it is broken and it will disable locker totally.

Does your locker still work?

Mine is a Z automotive sensor bypass. Locker still works all the lights on dash light up correctly and there are no codes. Works just as it should ,as I have said in past you can feel it when it is locked and it shows up on dash. I think about doing it sometime, but would want to pot it first, and I am not sure dealer will give it to me to pot first before they replace it under warranty and just buying it for like $350 or more seems like why. I mean why do we need a sensor to tell us it is locked after we push a button and it locks and shows up on dash, wonder if next generation Jeeps will have sensor to tell us the windows are down….Jack

I've had mine in for about a year maybe. I am out of warranty, so I did this. Everything works like it should. No flashing lights and it locks and unlocks.

I bought the sensor bypass last night to install, I kind of like being able to lock rear axel in 2 WD and 4 WDH as well as 4WDL and yes you can fill it, as for as the new generation goes, a guy ask me why the window switches were in the middle of the truck, I told him so I could let my windows up or down when my doors were off and he said good idea. Go figure

Some, myself included, will take off the front doors and leave the rears. This way it still allows the driver to control the windows.

OP. My Gladiator is currently at the dealer for the same issue. They said they replaced the sensor but the blinking locker indicator remains. The advisor said they were gonna need to order parts; said for differential but I'm not sure if he meant whole axle. If it's under warranty, I'd say just let a dealership deal with it.

I wonder if the dealer is really DUMB enough to not read the directions in the kit of 5 sensors - that you need to try them all until 1 works with your specific axle.
