Just purchased Black Rhino Barricades with 17x8.5, -34mm offset. Have 35” Nitto Mud Grapplers (35x12.50R17), 2.5” RC level kit (and swapping in 2.5” MetalCloak Gamechanger in coming months).

Wheel specs:
  • Size:17x8.5
  • Offset: -34mm
  • Backspacing: 3.425"
  • Bolt pattern: 5X127mm

Purchased them from RuggedRidge, and specs suggested they’d fit my JT (based primarily off bolt pattern). On Black Rhino site, it says this wheel won’t fit my Gladiator when putting in my vehicle specs.

Anyone running this much offset, and is it too much offset? Not putting them on until lift is in place, but wondering if there’ll be too much rub/if they’ll even fit on my Gladiator with the above specs. Thanks, all!

They are definitely going to poke…. Like 2.5” of poke.

what is the center bore? This might be why they say they won’t fit. This is often over looked… hub centric is important.

That’s quite a bit of offset. Better polish up those brake calipers since they’ll be visible from the rear

That’s like 2.75-3” pushed out compared to stock if I calculated correctly

Wheels specs have bore at 71.5.

Looks like these are 71.5 bore - which is perfect for the JT.

But I agree, -34 is too much poke for me!

Agree- I’m on a 8.5 with 0 offset and the tread is even with extended flares. Another 1.5” hanging out from a 0 offset, is going to be nuts… literally crap flung everywhere when driving on the highway in the rain. - could not get away with that in the PNW.

Mine are 8.5 with -12mm offset and 4.25” backspacing. They stick out a decent bit with 12.5” tires. But I love it.
