Like the title says. I currently have AEV’s 2” Mojave lift installed on my truck along with their geo brackets. I’m also running Icon adjustable track bars, Metal Cloak drag link, Metal Cloak sector shaft brace, and Apex Autolynx. Overall I love the ride and it drives and handles great. However, I am starting to add more accessories like bumpers, winches, etc and seem to be losing a bit of lift.

I’d like to get rid of my factory Mojave springs and the AEV spacers and add Metal cloak dual rate springs. I’m pretty certain that I could add their 2.5” dual rate springs front and rear and stay relatively close to the specs of how AEV designed their lift. However, I’d really like to add their 3.5” springs. My question is whether or not 3.5” springs would be too tall for the rest of the AEV lift components? Also, has anyone experienced any settling issues with the Metal Cloak dual rate springs. Any thoughts or experiences are appreciated!

Just for clarification, your AEV lift is a spacer lift and not a suspension lift. Right?

The only other components of their lift left up front would be the shock spacers. If you feel they are too short you could add the metalcloak shock spacers up top and gain more downtravel there. In the rear you'd want to look at the rear sway bar end links post install to make sure they are long enough but I think you'd be fine.

I do have Metal Cloak’s rear sway bar end links already. I’ve got the AEV shock extensions up front but didn’t realize that Metal cloak makes an upper shock spacer, might have to try that. My intent it so call Metal Cloak tomorrow, but I was definitely concerned that my factory shocks and spacer would have enough down travel if I added taller springs.

My concern would be the stock Mojave shocks are valved to work with the stock Mojave spring rate. Changing springs will result in the shocks either being to soft or hard, depending on new spring rate. Or maybe they will be just right, ???

Following up on this thread. I removed my stock Mojave front springs and 2” AEV spacer in an attempt to mostly level the front after installing a bumper and winch. My goal was to maintain the Mojave ride as much as possible but as previously stated, raise the front an extra inch or so.

I initially tried installing the Metalcloak 2.5” springs but the results were less than stellar. I was hoping to net 1/2-1” of extra lift. For whatever reason, the MC springs netted me about 3” of extra lift (on top of what I already had) up front and a decent amount spring bow on the passenger side. The ride unfortunately became super harsh with a decent amount of pogo action every time I went over any sort of bump. Not great. However, I contacted MC and their customer service was outstanding. I shot them some pics and they agreed the springs were not performing as intended. (their springs are super high quality, just didn’t give the advertised amount of lift) They sent me a return label and I eventually returned them for a full refund. This is exactly why I’ll eventually be going with a full MC lift in the future.

Attempt #2 was successful in accomplishing the desired outcome. I ended up purchasing 3” Synergy springs and added in the Mopar LCA’s even though I already had the AEV geo correction brackets. The result is nearly level front end , maybe a touch of rake, and the ride is nearly identical to stock. It soaks up speed bumps nice and smooth and the LCA’s keep the truck tracking straight down the road much better.

I was going to eventually put 2” synergy springs in the rear but since everything is sitting where I want, no sense in spending the money.

Did you install the MC upper shock extensions?

No, I already had the AEV lower shock extensions. It’s my understanding that they both accomplish the same task, just from opposite ends of the shock. I’ve already got a bunch of other MC parts already, so I seriously considered swapping them out. My intent is to eventually get a full MC lift when my Mojave shocks wear out, so I decided just to run what I already have for now.

Just ditch the Mojave shocks. They’re too soft and didn’t mix well with other springs since Mojave springs are soft too. I have a thread comparing as I went from AEV too. But once I got rid of the stock shocks , world of a difference. Proper extended length and adjustable to fit your needs. I’ll be going with the Metalcloak adjustable ROCKSPORT BLACK on my JL.

Been looking for months to see if anyone has used the Synergy springs to level their Mojave, thank you! This looks sick.

I have the 1.5” TeraFlex spacer but noticed it’s starting to sag upfront with the Arcus bumper, no winch yet. Do you have any rear springs/spacers or just the 3” Synergy springs upfront?

I still have the AEV 2” spacers in the rear with the factory Mojave springs and Synergy 3” springs up front. I also just added a full Metal Cloak rear bumper and it didn’t sag the rear at all. If I add any additional weight like a bed rack I’d likely jump over to Synergy’s 2” rear springs. The ride with the Synergy springs is super comparable to the factory Mojave springs, I’m happy with them.

Do you happen to know the part number for those 3" synergy springs? On synergy's website it shows a 3" spring with a 2" lift for the mojave and a 4" spring with a 3" lift for the mojave. I'm assuming it's the 3/2 combo, but want to be sure before I pull the trigger.

I'm looking in to this setup in the future. Make sure to read Synergy's stated lift per model.

It says their rear 2" springs would be zero lift to a stock Mojave. If you want to net 2 additional inches. You would have to run their 4" spring.

Running the 3" front spring will net 2 additional inches on Mojave. Which would match what a 2" spacer was achieving. Or at least is how I'm understanding their info.

I love my Fox Shocks. So my idea is to run a front 3" spring and a rear 4" spring. Gain 2", run shock extensions , extended sway bar links, geo brackets with my current mopar lower control arms, front & rear track bars and a rear driveshaft spacer. Making a homebrew 2" kit for a Mojave on springs. With a few people saying Synergy springs ride soft, I'd like to keep the Mojave characteristics.

In all honesty.......call Metalcloak.

Their customer service is A+ and they know the products they sell; they won't steer you wrong. Just also keep in mind the recommendations they make are for real in the best interest of you, safety and your desired effect.

They also offer a MIL discount if it applies for you
