So Willys is the one to get / best value for non hardcore… especially with the new grille already being mostly black. Tho you gotta be able to stomach black wheels (I can’t) or get some takeoffs.

I take that back— a used diesel with body colored hardtop for $35k is the one to buy. What a fucking joke for prices once you get into the builder… at minimum there should be the “whiskey & lube” package to help with ordering.

I like how they also left sarge green on there even though it’s not available to order.

Jeep lost the plot on the Willys. I was looking forward to that being the new best deal in all of Gladiator-dom. In my opinion, if it came in at a solid $45-$47k, It had so much promise. But it's $53k for an auto hard top with the convenience package... (I won't bring up that this is the same amount as a '23 Rubicon is anywhere in America right now, and more than a lot of us paid for our Rubicons in the last 12 months.)

If I'm a Jeep salesman and somebody walks in for a '24 Willys, Im going to try to upsell the Rubicon. Here's why: It's $7,000 to go from the Willys to the Rubicon. Me, the salesman, well, I'm going to regularly get quotes sent over from the local shops to regear and add a front locker. That quote is going to be more than $7,000, and I'm going to hand that customer that quote and show them why the Rubicon is a better option for them. And then I'm going to sell that customer on the transfer case, and the added bonus of the sway bar disconnect. And what does that do? It muddies the waters, man. It takes the Willys from being a few-grand-too-expensive-but-I-can-talk-myself-into-it perfect option for 99.9% of the population and creates frustration for the customer.

Also, I'm taking bets that I won't see a Rubicon X on the trail before November of 2027. That's going to be the "too much money and not enough sense" trim level.

I want to know how the doors off mirror kit went from $195 to $765.
I picked up a set of these from Beaman Murfreesboro in September. They priced matched one of the online warehouses due to my wife buying a '24 JL, so she paid a little less than $200. I noticed that the invoice said $765.00, and I brought it up to the salesperson and he just said that they don't have control over the set prices, and spun it to seem like I got a great deal.

I really thought they were just inflating the price to show a "bigger" savings at the dealership level, but in hindsight maybe I got a better deal than I thought.

It’s ridiculous that all the X trims only have color match fenders and hardtop…when I was looking last fall I absolutely was set on those items being black. Maybe I’m old school but I think they look so much better with the color and black contrast. Plus cheaper to replace if need be too!

My conspiracy theory is that they are giving us sticker shock this year so that when the 4xe is released in 2025 with a $75k price tag our heads don't all explode.

With Jeeps ridiculous 2024 pricing, Jeep has killed off (most of) their existing customer base who would've traded in their current 2020/21 MY gladiators. An Overland to Rubicon in 2021 was about a $7k difference, now it's $15k-$20k difference. Needles to say, I'll be driving my Overland until the wheels off!

so the X trims are just forced paint matched everything and steel armor. not sure its truly worth 10k more than a standard rubi/mojave but ok. Also noted they forced tow package as standard on the higher trim levels. wonder why?
I'd reckon the leather and power seats are $3k of it. Then add the cold weather group and the other stuff the $10k is easy to get to. The bumpers are probably $2.5 to $3k of it.
