Got a call from the service advisor. Head gasket (not surprised). They did get a P0303 code while troubleshooting and determined that it was caused by coolant seeping into the cyclinder (maybe others, as I've gotten P0300). Warranty will cover everything, including the diagnoistics (over $500) and rental car. They will still look into the radiator while it is in the shop. Some closure at least.
Lucky you! I had coolant consumption on my first engine, 1 ounce/1000km. I had my first 3 oil analyses done reporting coolant in the oil so I took it in during my PO302 misfire and explained my theory that this might be the culprit, they wanted me to be responsible to pay for the tear down if they don’t find anything. I refused as I wasn’t confident they could identify a leak if they were staring at it.
Insurance paid for a new engine. I won’t get into what’s happening with that one.

How was the Aluminum, Copper, Lead and Tin numbers on your oil analysis? That is usually where long term coolant contamination starts to degrade the crank bearing material.

Like @ShadowsPapa mentioned, hopefully the check everything out on the heads and also do a straight edge check of the block and heads before slapping another head gasket and send it.
Good question. Aluminum was high (at least compared the the avg values), but copper, tin, and lead were ok. Iron was high. I highlighted the "high" values to them, so hopefully, they inspect other stuff while they have the "patient open." The SA said the service tech is one of their best, and if anything is wrong, he would find it. Apparently, replacing head gaskets and heads is his thing. There are four other vehicles ahead of me getting similar work done. I'll have to ask what cars & engines they are fixing (Pentastar engines?).

That iron and possibly the aluminum suggest valvetrain wear.

At least they gave me a decent loaner/rental while my JT is in the shop. I suppose they are trying to lure me into trading in or buying another Jeep. Nope, not gonna happen. Nice Wrangler 4XE though.
