I just had a windshield replaced about 40 miles ago and now after I drive for 5-6 minutes, every error light comes on with one loud “ding.” Adaptive cruise isn’t working, fwd collision is off, it tells me to service 4wd, I get one that says sway bar with an exclamation point, parksense isnt working when I put it in reverse, etc. Does this sound like it could be related to the windshield replacement? I’ve driven the vehicle twice since then and got the lights both times. It’s been parked in the garage the other times. Dealer says it’s not likely the windshield given the lights about 4wd and the sway bar.
Thoughts? I saw one other thread with similar issues and it was a rodent problem. Highly doubt that’s the case here.

My first question would be regarding the replacement windshield, is it the correct one? I believe for automatic windshield wipers you have to have a special type of material on it so the sensors work, I would imagine that is the case here too with I can't be bothered to pay attention cruise control?

Secondly, if you hadn't mentioned the windshield replacement, all of these fun lights at once also make me think of a faulty battery, ie the voltage is too low. The aux batteries in these tend to go quickly and take the main battery as their final tribute.

Those are educated guesses based on the information provided and experience with my own vehicles. I would start there and move my way onwards. A service shop is probably your best bet if you're not too mechanically inclined.

I was told when I had the windshield on my '19 JLUR replaced which has the safety group and adaptive cruise control; it has to have the sensors calibrated.

Was the calibration done?

Thank you. Good question. I mentioned this to the dealer when I called, but the service guy said that wouldn’t make a difference for the service fwd/sway bar lights, so he didn’t think that was it. I’ll ask again to confirm it was actually done.

I believe it is the correct windshield. This is my third one (less than 25k miles) and they ordered it based off of the last one.

thanks for the other tips around battery as well. I’ve had the aux battery replaced once. The jeep hasn’t been driven much in the last three months tho, so maybe that could be it as well.

**update— checked battery, all is good there.

Yeah with the CAN/BUS protocols......everything effects everything. As a GM tech in the past........don't dismiss anything

Separately charge each battery and then see if the error lights go away.

Dealer says it’s not likely the windshield given the lights about 4wd and the sway bar.
I doubt you have 4 separate problem. Probably have one problem and it is cascading errors disabling those systems. I am with the others in that I think they need to recalibrate ACC/FCW system for the windshield replacement.

Thank you. The dealer is waiting to confirm they can bring it back in on their own dime to check this. Quite ridiculous, but I’ve never had a great experience with them.

Had my windshield replaced last year at a local shop. Didn't do a calibration since the whole camera assemply is not disturbed when they replace the windshield. That being said, I've since read that the thinkness or refraction of the replacement glass, if it is different, may be why the calibration is needed. My jeep is lifted. I have not had any issues or warning lights related to the replacement glass. Maybe I just go lucky!

Now I am in the market again for another windshield do to it cracking again. We'll see how it goes this time:fingerscrossed:

As Hootbro said all the systems are working together and it takes a simple issue as an improper or no recalibration to cause a slew of errors pop up: basically a list of collateral codes!

Take it to a windshield shop. They’ll calibrate it and you can bill the dealer.

I’m on my fourth windshield. I insist on Oem mopar glass each time. They calibrate it every time. It doesn’t matter if they think nothing was disturbed. Millimeters matter.

The service manual talks about an inclinometer mounted to the back of the unit. If it is off there are screws to adjust it. Is there a software calibration too? It says to enter the dasm ecu, misc tab and select auto calibration. Can we access the dasm with one of our scan tools?

It does mention recalibrate after tire size changes but no mention on installing a lift. Is the tire size just a speed related adjustment?

I'm just asking to know. I'm not changing wheels or a windshield.

My cruise, acc, fcw, swaybar!, and service 4wd lights came on twice today with no apparent cause, no new windshield. What did you end up doing to fix your issue?
