Doesn’t that defeat the purpose, being to reduce flicking up rocks and mud behind you when you’re running tires poking outside of the stock flares? I don’t see the rational for mounting them in reverse as they don’t really serve a functional purpose then, and it looks kinds funny if you ask me. ?‍♂
The rear wheel projects rocks forward as well. I can see that working pretty well actually.

I skimmed through and didn't see where anyone had posted this.

@AllMoparParts.com has a bundled set of fronts for the JT, so you don't have to pick two front lefts and two front rights as separate items. Just throw this one SKU in the cart and you're done!

Jeep Gladiator Xtreme Recon Wheel Flare Extensions provide a functional upgrade to your Jeep's appearance. This kit utilizes the production front flare extensions from the Wrangler Xtreme Recon installed for both front and rear on the Gladiator.
  • Set of Four (4) Wheel Flare Extensions
  • These are a direct fitment on Gladiator Rubicon high fender flares.
@Rkowalski - If you could edit post #1 with the above link, it sure would be helpful to future searchers.

@21Moja - ditto for post #19?

I just installed these on my 2023 JT HA and it was painful. The fender liners on mine must be different than other models cuz the holes in the extensions didnt match up at all in front. Ordered the 2 pairs of fronts and had to get some self tapping screws to make it work. Seems the angle of the liners on mine are not correct for these as much as other models (Rubicons, Sports, etc.).

Will try the backs once I get a 5th left piece as I messed one up so bad had to order another one. They do work though at keeping the debris under control for my -6 wheels on Toyo 315/70/17's.

Yeah the holes don't line up, I ended up drilling new ones. It's all plastic so no worry about corrosion, just weird to drill holes in a new vehicle! Good luck, you got it!
Thanks for confirming. On the rears (well, using fronts for the rears), those look even harder. I've seen people install them backwards and they look like they fit better around the bends but the larger side ends up in front of the rear wheel which doesnt make any sense.

So... the cuts are what allow the fronts to be molded to fit in the rear wells?

Correct. If you look at past threads a lot of the members have shared what the cuts look like. They are basically saw toothed and the cuts enable you to fit the fender extension into the curve of the fender. Good luck, worst case is you buy a new pair and try again!

Got them on the rear too. Install there was more difficult as well. From the outside, they look ok. underneath however, not so much. That doesnt bother me though. Keeping debris off my truck and other vehicles is what I am after. I think these will work for now and can likely avoid mudflaps for the time being.

Used black marker on the self-tapping screw heads for now. Will paint them with some rustoleum matte black when it warms up.

Did you intentionally use screws instead of rivets? Or did you just not have/buy rivets?

It was intentional. The rivets and or Xmas trees did not seem to work well for me. Don't know if the High Altitude fenders are different than the Rubicons/Mojave's and Sport S models but the bend did not want to line up without some force, which is why the self-tapping screws were used.

?‍?? just drill holes and stick new plastic rivets in… those are going to rust out and not hold….

edit- these are cheap, I’d order a new pair…. Use a dremel with cut off wheel to cut…. And a heat gun to bend the extensions to flush… drill holes as needed and use plastic rivets.

Lots of other tips here:

Post 135+… or really anywhere in that thread.

I’m good thnx. Your idea may work but this is easier and accomplishes the goal.

The screws are galvanized and will not rust out any time soon. If that starts to happen, will re-do it then. Besides, I'd need new fender liners too and not doing that unless I have to.

Did mine today during the eclipse.

Notes:

Be extra careful with the oem liners on the rear. It's really easy for the drill bit to walk the liner back and go around it and not through it.

One relief cut seems adequate. Working with warm materials certainly helps.

*** Remember to remove your magnetic work light from the surface of the rear exhaust resonator when finished. ?

I read through this entire thread and I don't think I found anywhere that somebody actually measured the additional coverage from the extensions... Anybody care to take a couple measurements? In particular maybe just from the stock fender out to the extension from directly above the tire to make it easier?

Been throwing around the idea of bumping up to 40s but I want to try to keep them under the fenders and it's going to be tight with some spacers
