Would you say replacing the harness is better than digging through the old one?
There’s a large power and ground that goes to the pump and I think one set of twisted pair for the control. I’d probe the large connector at the pump first.

Agreed. I meant N6.
Good, a typo.

One thing - if a person has JSCAN - you should be able to watch the EHPS pump operation or even trigger it. I'd have to dig but it seems there's that ability. One could at least see if it's a signal issue or there's just no power there.
I wonder if that twisted pair is perhaps for the LIN bus - so the pump can communicate back operation, etc.

So you've had 3 failed pumps?. Damn. I was thinking harness too.
Yup…3 failed pumps. All electrical issues. The second pump failure was no fun. It never came back on and I was on a 2000 km trip to BC from Alberta for a wedding and at that time I had all the booze for the wedding because BC liquor was on strike and shelves were empty. When the pump crapped out in Kamloops, the dealership couldn’t diagnose it or get it to respond and I couldn’t wait 2 weeks for a new one, so we pressed on. Strong arm steering the entire trip was no fun.

Now this one crapped out and can’t respond either. The first one would get super hot and quit but would come back on when it cooled down.

Any ideas why you have gone through three pumps? Is it the driving conditions where you live and the climate up North?

With arms like this, I'm surprised his steering linkage isn't all twisted, as well as the pump fried -

I was wondering about that 3 pumps bit, too - it's amazing to lose one - two is just crazy. Not sure what I'd call losing 3 PS pumps on the same vehicle.
