Jeep says the 2024 Mojave has the highest ground clearance.

Then they aren't counting the axles or differential castings.
Really odd - wonder how in the world they get that. I have the measurements. I compared.

I’d think they measured consistently and in a fairly controlled environment with more than one sample. Unless they are just trying to fool us.

More likely they measured the one spec with the least amount of options to get the highest number they could. Similar to how they do tow and payload ratings.

Is there much advantage when you’re playing yourself? ?

Can use this to say it's got class leading ground clearance. I mean just look at the bullshit wheel travel claims Toyota makes. According to Toyota they have more wheel travel than basically anything on the market

Where has everyone been hiding the last few years? Mohave is about one inch higher in the front but the same in the back compared to the Rubicon. Approach angle should be better, but departure angle should be identical.

I ? bet plenty of Rubcons could keep up with. Mojave on the sand, and a few Mojave could crawl rocks next to a Rubi. A fully locked front to back dune crawler is desirable to some.

In the most extreme cases, with the most capable drivers, each will pull away form the other because of their specifically designed intent, but I would also bet the average Gladiator owner is not taking it to either of those extremes ever during their ownership so it comes down to looks, perception of ride quality, some of the min/maxing of options and what your presence it.

Many of the “short comings” of each as compared to the other for specific use can be made up with aftermarket as well to get within 99% of the either vehicle. That my opinion anyway. Buy what you like. I don’t care for the Mojave hood, but I’d be curious what their shock set up feels like I the road. I like stiffer and more planted, without body roll in corners, as opposed to floating and soaking up the road, so I’m not sure I’d love the Mojave more but who knows. I’m sure I would have been happy with either and I’ll never take either to their extreme use.

Should I even continue my build journal?
4 pages of people unzipping their pants to see who has the best ground clearance, while others interject their own feelings of remorse or insecurity and need to justify their purchase by telling me that mine was wrong. I have a lot of respect for some of the posters and gained some excellent information, however this is my build journal, not a debate. Right or wrong, the way you would do it or not, this is what I am doing and I hope it helps others.

My apologies for posting info about the Mojave ground clearance. I thought some info was incorrect and it was worth clarifying.

Your post was simply in response to the pages of posts before it turning a simple build journal into a debate about who has the better rig. I was not pointing any fingers, and if I did it would NOT be at you. I do appreciate input and correct/corrected information to guide me as I navigate this build. However, if I were to point a finger, it would be my middle one, at the asshat who jumped on my thread to tell me I should have bought a Rubicon, because he did. Of course that said, that leaves 4 fingers pointing back at me for engaging him and starting the snowball.

I thought that was odd for someone to bash someone else in their build thread. It's not like we don't have a bunch of Rubicon vs Mojave sour grapes threads already.

You should ask an admin if they would clean up this thread for you or delete it and let you start over.

While I bought a Rubicon not a Mohave, I'm interested in your build.
Honestly, the only two reasons I got a Rubion were...price, paid slightly more than the Willys I was looking at...and I wanted the diesel, regardless of trim.
Otherwise I really like the Mohave package.
Sorry for my drivel, what I ment to say was maybe you should copy and paste your first few posts and start a new thread. I'd follow it. Or not, I'll follow this one too.

That may be a good idea.

This is the problem I've always had with build threads. Hate all the extra clutter.
As the originator of a thread, especially build journals, one should have the power to delete and/or approve post to said thread.

Go ahead and delete this post if you get the mods to clean up this thread.
