I don’t get it. But that’s most things I can’t afford, must be a tax bracket issue.

I saw a JT dual rear axle creature locally. Oh, had an angry grille too. Sorry for the anticipation, it didn’t look cool.

looks to be about an 8 foot bed.

EcoDiesels are rated at 1350 payload for sports, but we all know how payload ratings look in the real world once you've optioned out your truck. Probably came less than 1280 stock. add rubicon rockrails and front steel bumper plus rear sliders, that should be about another 120#. A new axle assembly is gonna cost about 600#. Extra tires and wheels an extra 200#. Frame extension and bed fab work maybe another 200#. (i feel like i'm lowballing the extra fab work here honestly)

Now you're down to 160# payload and you haven't even sat down in your stupid 6x6 yet. Assuming you're a diminutive man of 150lbs, you can legally drive your truck, as long as you're only wearing a wife beater, basketball shorts, and flip flops.

Oh what's that? It's cold outside? Want to wear jeans, a sweater, and a jacket? Can't, over payload.

So you've got an 8 foot bed that you have to hire a jockey to drive for you since you can't fit, and all you can haul in your 8 foot bed is postage stamps, maybe $50 worth at a time max... Unsecured... And they're going to fly away, because you don't have any payload left for a tonneau.

If i had any reason to believe this was a sport s manual gasser with no towing package (you know, that one mythical trim combo that gives the max payload of 1710), i might say a normal man could legally drive this thing and even bring along one friend at a time, assuming again that there's nothing in your loooooooong bed.

But it's not. It's very clearly a diesel. I guess at the very least it's not a diesel rubicon or a gas HA.

Stuff like this is stupid.

Perfect example of “Just because you can do it, doesn’t mean you should do it”.

Yes….but I would still drive it because Merca. Tires would get expensive 7 tires per change! Imagine the weight! Can it have a 3” lift kit, and jump sand dunes?

I want a full height tent rack, a couple of wenches, and also the kind that have cables attached to the truck, and a 500hp/800tq diesel with a manual to blow coal. 2500lb payload and 12,000lb tow rating?

Imagine pulling into the dealer with that! “Yes I need an alignment really bad. The death wabble is killing me. This is under warranty right?”
