Bed Rail Removal : Proud Of Myself…….

I - We did it!!!! Got a little dent above the gas cap door and the Dent Wizard guy said if you move the bed cap I’ll take $80 off the price…… I studied about three different videos on YouTube and read up on the how other people did it and looked at all these pictures and I purchased two packages of tools through Amazon. One was about 12 bucks, and the other one was about 18 bucks and worth every penny. It did take my son and I about 45 minutes of going very slow and easy and even using some tie downs and the canopy as a third person to help us out. My son holding the flashlight at particular angles worked out way better than a lightbulb and cord did. Not one broken tab!!!!! Just sharing in case anybody finds this at all helpful. ** I installed the long arm suspensions myself, but I was more concerned about removing the bed cap without breaking any of the tab’s…….Happy Memorial Day and as always Party On!

Not links but pictures to Amazon where I purchased them from. I’ve always been wanting these tools for a whole bunch of other projects on the vehicles….

Nice job! I had a dent on the opposite side. Much bigger, but the auto body shop told me that it would be replaced because it was impossible to get off without breaking the tabs. Haha.

Soooooooo not true. Next time I could probably do within less than 15 minutes if I had to do it again.

Thanks, I've got to get around to this before mf GFC is done. Unfortunately Yakimas bed rack mounting design does a solid job of causing permanent depressions in the bed caps.
