I have the backup camera with turn signal setting on and the volume goes down when I turn on my signal and the backup camera comes on. (I really dislike this...) This could be the random part if you are stopped to turn vs going straight.
I don’t have turn cam on but I’ll start messing with that then

I find with most electronic devices it is better to keep the internal software updated. The Tazer is like a hacker, connected to the bus and fighting with the computer for control over certain things. There's bound to be the occasional odd issue. I would recommend to unmarry it and do an update at least every six months.

Well stated and solid recommendation

true, I can occasionally see my truck downloading updates in the bottom right of the head unit when im driving. mind blowing how when it updates it can get 400 mb/s via sat but when i wanna use wifi or sat its 7-12 mb/s. I guess you gotta keep the Tazer update just to keep up.

Interesting. I have that feature turned on and my radio volume does not reduce when I use the turn signals. I'm curious if anyone else has seen this one way or the other...

I am always running android auto, maybe I'll see if the radio also does it. I might need to do a software update and try again. This volume dropping is annoying.

Head unit updates come in over the cellular connection. GPS location and SiriusXM Music data come in over satellite.

Yeah, I'm always running Apple CarPlay. The volume will drop when things like Siri are giving turn by turn directions, but I've never seen the turn signal phenomena...hmmmmm

Triple honk kill doesn’t seem to work with the doors off. I don’t have full fuel economy functionality on the dash and the radio volume is erratic with no input.
With the turn signal camera hack, I used to lose audio. It felt like it was muting for a competing audio stream while the camera was active (but seemed random).

My updated TAZER fixed that. I like your chances with an update! As others have suggested maybe un-marry, too…

Do you have the speed adjusted volume turned on? That always seemed to be wonky, with or without the Tazer. I could imagine some sort of conflict it that thought you were moving forward at X MPH while also thinking you were in reverse.

Also the park sense interacts with the radio volume. Again I could imagine some conflicts if your parking camera comes on and the park sense picks up on something.

Just suggestions because I've never had the exact problem described. My only radio weirdness is that sometimes it seems to reset to default audio settings if I turn the Jeep on or off with my phone plugged in and android auto active. When that happens, it also may or may not mute the volume on the radio, or the notifications or nav directions. Since it is also reduces other audio sources when I get notifications and alerts, it reduces the music volume every time one is played at zero volume and don't hear.
