I love the diesel drive-train but don't like the turbo lag. I was checking out the interweb and banks pedal monster came up on several forums but some say it doesnt really reduce the turbo lag but kinda "hides it". I'm ok with $300 ...as a PC builder and home theater nut, I've spent $XXX on stuff that never really worked out..lol. I'm in CA and at times need to merge into heavy traffic from a stand still red light and the turbo takes forever to kick in...I've been flooring the gas pedal...lol.

Anyone here running it? I've seen tons of YouTube vidoes but very few on Jeep Gladiators. Or maybe save my money and spend it on the Hothead headliners that actually does work.......

TIA!

^ All those links are for the derringer tuner (along with pedal monster). I'm looking for feedback with people with only pedal monster :). I'm not looking to tune anything.

Cheers.

I don't have Pedal Monster but I'm going to reply anyway. I have the cheap-ass HikeIt on my diesel, and it definitely does something with the pedal signal that hides lag. I keep it on the slower-than-stock Eco response curve, so it's not some quasi-placebo effect of getting more acceleration per pedal movement. But the time lag between moving the pedal and getting a response from the engine is most definitely reduced, it's obvious, and it's again obvious when you remove it. We all assume it's a voltage spike or something at start of pedal movement, we all assume they all do something similar. So yeah, most likely any of them will help

Debating between one pedal controller and another - can't help

I just run the pedal monster, not the derringer, and enjoy reducing the turbo lag. It made a huge improvement to me.

I had the Pedal Monster for a little bit before I added the Derringer and it makes a huge difference. You won't be disappointed.

I have it on my jeep. I recently disabled it tho and my mpgs have gone up actually. I do like the instant throttle response.
