Reimbursement for clutch recall?

I had read that the Centerforce clutch is superior to the clutch that’s installed by Jeep as part of the recall. I think many did that while waiting for Jeep to sort out the recall solution.

Now that recall #3 is out, supposedly, Jeep will provide reimbursement if you’ve already had the repair while waiting for the recall to be sorted.

Has anyone applied for and received reimbursement for an after market clutch?

My understanding is you can only get reimbursed if you paid a Jeep dealer to install a clutch. They won't pay for repairs at outside shops, unless they send the truck there to have the work done.

When my clutch was beginning to slip I was left with the choice to wait and take the chance of my vehicle catching on fire for a known issue in what amounted to years of "recall incomplete, remedy not yet available" before 19A had a real fix... OR being proactive and putting in a new clutch on my own.

When I finally received my recall notice and the "Jeep Cares" offer of reimbursement, I submitted all the paperwork (receipts, parts, labor, etc) for the clutch I had my mechanic replace and... of course it was denied.

I like the way they say “Our primary focus is your satisfaction” then follow up by denying your claim. These guys are a laugh riot.

I had the Centerforce clutch installed in mine. Light years difference from the stock clutch.

They ignored my first 3 claims and my most recent one was denied. On the latest one they kept changing what they needed me to send. They also kept adding requirements for the repair invoice. I gave up - my time and sanity are too important.
