I’m interested in possibly upgrading as well. On a recent 5000 mile trip to CO and UT from NC I was at least at gvwr and didn’t feel as if the brakes were as responsive as I would have liked but boy they are expensive..

Since my Gladiator is 4 years old I may decide to do a brake fluid flush first to see if that helps before dropping the coin on an upgrade but I haven’t decided which brand to get if I do.

Ive heard good things about the Terraflex Big Brake kit.

What ever you do DO NOT buy drilled rotors. They actually degrade the performance and can lead to premature cracking.

Yes, do the flush first. Did mine a few month ago after 3 years and so much crap came out with factory fluid I was disappointed to say the least. Breaks do feel a bit better now too.

Jeep did do an excellent job with the gladiators brakes.
Really? It took me forever to get used to how numb they felt for the first 20-30% of the pedal stroke. Our TJ has way better feel and more linear braking than the truck.

Air stuck in the ABS system.
An ABS bleed is the only way to remove the air.

I don't think the a vacuum bleed will pull the air out of the ABS.
Here is a video that explains more about ABS bleeding.
This is what got me on the path to fixing my low mushy pedal.

I hate working on modern cars... I love the lack of rust, but the fact I can't turn a wrench without a computer is annoying AF.

Is there one that you recommend that's not subscription based?

You're not kidding.

Even my 20 year old BMW doesn't need a computer to do a bleed. Which reminds me of what I have to do this weekend...
