I just ordered 42" traction boards which I'd like to store against the rear bed wall. I have a few ideas on how to do it, but I was wondering if anyone who is already doing this has suggestions. I have a plastic drop-in bedliner BTW.

I put molle panels on the inside of my bed sides and bulk head and then bungie cord the traction boards to the bulk head molle panel. Idk how the molle panel would work with your plastic drop in though.

I made a carbon fiber panel and used trail rail threaded holes and tiedown bolts at D rings to mount it. ( i have bedliner too) then mount whatever you want.

s a lot lighter than steel molle racks. I cut slots for straps and have modular storage bags from Amazon. Tiedowns, water, tow rope, the bag with grey top is CO2 tank,, and first aid. I have since added small backpacker stove and Stanley french press in another bag as the wife needs a pick me up in the afternoon. panel is strong and light. prob about 5# max

I use a bungee across the bottom to keep mine against the bed wall.

I used some HomeDepot hardware and secured it to existing mount points on the bed wall.

Yeah I'm guessing I'll Home Depot it myself. I might also make some hooks (similar to what people use to hang wreaths and whatnot from residential doors) to hang off the bed rail and then fashion some straps to them.

Before I had a tonneau cover I hung mine there from the trail rail using long bolts and washers. I don't carry them any more because people just stared at me hopping curbs with my boards at the mall. Whatever. They were jealous.

This may not help, but since the traction boards are an item I need handy in snow, I stow mine above the back seat, wedged against the ceiling interior side by side, using two short plastic paddles or bills if you prefer (bolted on to Amazon cheap traction boards) and two short pieces of swimming noodles to jam fit against the upper roof tubes. The paddles are cut to fit and provide a compression fit in that space, they never move until I extract them.
