I have read through every thread on here about a 295/70/17 and 285/75/17 fitting on a stock Sport S (NOT MAX TOW) with stock wheels.

Will either of the sizes fit without rubbing the lower control arm?

Many people posted their max tow models as examples saying they fit or their truck with 1.5" level kits installed. Which doesn't correlate to a non lifted not max tow sport.

Can anyone confirm either of the sizes fit on stock wheels without rubbing?

Thanks!

I’ve read and seen multiple stock sports (non max tow) running 285/75/R17’s with no problems. Those are basically halfway between a 33x11.5 and 35x11.5.

I would like to know what happens to your mileage when you add taller heavier tires.

I calibrated the speedo and have not noticed any difference in the fuel mileage.

285/75r17's fit just fine on a stock max tow. I ran them when I got my truck new.

I have a ‘23 Willys, replaced the stock BFG KM2 255s with 285s the day after I bought it. On the stock 17” rims, no rubbing or other issues whatsoever. I will add that I installed the Teraflex 1.5” leveling kit and the longer Mopar front control arms to eliminate the excessive rake and level the stance. No issues.

Replaced with 285/70/17 or 285/75/17?
