I am looking to increase my caster angle by about .5 degrees by shortening my Clayton UCA's. Anyone know how many turns of the adjustable UCA that'd be?

We want to hear from you!

As Clayton Off Road continues to grow and expand, we felt it was finally a good time to bring in some additional engineering staff to support Clayton in future product design and development.

We always plan on being the company that primarily focuses on high-quality, Jeep-only suspension systems first and foremost, but we want to hear from you guys, what additional products would you be interested in seeing from Clayton Off Road?

Ball Joints, Tie rods, and draglinks; that way I can have a full Clayton steering and suspension.
I agree ☝ I already have the full Clayton suspension aside from what’s out of stock out coming in the mail as we speak and would love the steering to go along with it

What Clayton did you go with on your Mojave? Did you change out the shocks. I'm looking to put a Clayton kit on my Mojave. Thanks!

Remember, positive caster is gained by pointing the pinion angle down. Personally, I would turn all 4 Clayton control arms 1/2 turn and recheck. Of course, the LCAs opposite direction of the UCAs. If I remember right, that should give you close to .5 caster increase.... If you only want to change the UCAs, I would say one full turn, but, I have not tried it that way. I changed all 4 of mine at the same time to get approx. 6.5-6.8 caster. The truck tracks great at the that setting for that last 4 years and 3 different sets of 37 inch tires.

I went with the 1.5” overland plus kit and kept the factory shocks as the springs were compressed and it put it back in that factory spot in the shock and it rides great

I attached a picture of the stance now

That’s super helpful. I think I’ll go with your suggestion. My truck still wanders and I get some bump steering so I’ll try that. 1/2 turn on all 4 to start then increase if more is needed.

I like your choice in vehicles my friend. I kept my stock wheels because I like them too much and with the 35’s and Clayton suspension I get no rubbing

Something along the lines of Jeep specific shocks. Something tuneable. Something that is better than Fox. My Clayton lift has settled in a bit and now I have a flutter on the driver's side. So something that is rebuildable and tuneable.

Would love more options for long arm kits in the market.

Question for ya. When I go to adjust my UCA's/LCA's, is there a sequence I should do it? Such as passenger UCA then driver LCA then vice versa or 1 side then the next side? I haven't messed with my control arms since I installed them so looking for any advice or tips.

I do not know of any sequence. I adjust each LCA first because they are usually the hardest. With only half a turn, you should be able to line up the bolt again pretty easily, but, you may have to have someone rock the truck a little. Also, using a long thick punch one one side can help you pry the control arm into place to slide the bolt from the other side. I would do it with the truck sitting on level ground.
