Thats probably part of it, but I mean that JK mule is still running around and then we have seen some production sport and rubicon mules running around too. It just is weird how this is roling along compared to the JL. The JL went JK mules to trash bag mules to production trash bag mules to sticker camo, to mostly exposed body with sticker camo on select areas, to reveal. To be honest, I think that since this is a truly new vehicle, it's taking time to finish the last details of the design. Making rolling prototypes is MUCH easier than getting the comprehensive design ready for production. Also, the mules we are seeing, if the program is run properly, really equate to real changes in the design. So our Jeep engineers are busting their asses right now to upgrade the squawks from mule testing, the sub-contractors have to adapt, and the assembly line procedures are in change review protocol as well. Let's hope they learn from the problems they're having with the JL, and do the stuff they need to do to bring this bad boy home to me, done right. And FFS please offer the 3.0 right out of the gate!
That process makes me think there is no way a SEMA reveal in two weeks and even less likely a full reveal at LA Auto show in a month. Its looking like Detroit might even be questionable.
