Clayton 2.5 vs 3.5 Overland Premium Lift Comparison

Been searching, comparing, digging through threads…

Wanting t lift the Gladiatior after a wonderful Jeep Jamboree in Uwharrie this year.

Needing additional clearance, currently running 35s, will move to 37s later.

Rubicon did well, but want to know which is better for 90% street, 10% trail.

Seems like he wants additional clearance and the ability to run 37s down the line.

Running numerous trails has shown that the belly of this beast needs a boost. It will also help with the big butt dragging. Hitch skid had a workout along with transfer case and gas tank skid.

When you run trails with 2 and 4 door jeeps they have a huge clearance advantage. Longer wheelbase is great, but additional clearance is a necessity.

What's wrong with using the protection as designed?

Protection is there to protect. If you can gain clearance and negate/lessen the need/reliance on the skids, you are decreasing the potential for damage/breakage/carnage

Just get the Mopar lift if all your doing is 10% trails:

this is Mopar lift and 37s before winch, bumper, smartcap etc

I have an overland with the Clayton 2.5 and 37s. I got like 4 inches of lift in the front. It’s perfect with 37s

I have the Clayton 2.5" springs in the front with the JKS adjustable spring seats and hydro bump stops. The has the Clayton 3.5" springs. Have 4" of lift front and rear. Tires are 37". Have done a few black trails with this set up.
