Yeah I got the 12k synthetic. I'd think the UV is probably worse then the heat. As long as covered type thing, someone would need to speak to that with more knowledge then I on that. At least you don't need to worry about it freezing because you got it wet in the winter ha.

I got a 10k eco for 525$ on amazon. I debated returning it and getting the synthetic version if I could get it at a similar price, but I wonder if the Houston heat might degrade the line/cable, but it would be nice having 25 less pounds on my bumper. Decisions.
Can’t you replace the wire with synthetic? Maybe I am wrong but I thought that I saw that somewhere. Mine came with the synthetic and it is a huge improvement over my prior experiences with wire.

Yes, you can. You should change out the fairlead when you change to synthetic line.
