The Tacoma has a composite bed, and the feature list from Jay says spray in bedliner will be an option... which they wouldn't do in a composite bed. So I don't think that'll be a feature or if it was, it wouldn't be unique to the JT.Composite bed
It could be the angle, the bed looks a lot shorter (which I would LOVE.) Its also possible that the covered image is just a stock photo and not necessarily the real truck.I noticed the draped JT in that shot looks better as well. I wonder why that is. Maybe they had extra crap mounted on the body panels under the trash bags on the mules to confuse everyone on the actual shape.
Exactly my thoughts and why I made the bed shorter on the renderings. I spent time measuring the CAD file and proportions and tried to mimic it as best as possible as I don't think the long bed is correct for all. Who knows, maybe we'll get two bed lengths?I noticed the draped JT in that shot looks better as well. I wonder why that is. It also looks like the covered truck in this image has a lift on it too. So maybe the height makes that bed look better like with the AEV BrutesExactly my thoughts and why I made the bed shorter on the renderings. I'd love there to be 2 bed options. I'd be completely happy with a 48" or 54" bed length... this is a "lifestyle truck" for me and my only ask of a bed is that I can easily fit half a dozen sheets of plywood in it easily. (I'd gladly take a JKU sized truck with no rollbar behind the seats and a firm 49~50" width so I can fit real 4' wide things in there.)Exactly my thoughts and why I made the bed shorter on the renderings.
