Start stop not ready / battery charging message after aux battery change - What next?

21 JT - 54k Miles. Stop/Start light came on.

Replaced both main and aux batteries, new, fully charged.

Drove about 15 mins, light is still on.

Disconnected the negative on the main battery for 20 mins.

Same issue, light still comes on for auto start /stop not available - service.

What are my next steps to get the light off? Battery shows above 14 on the instrument panel.

Don't want to get stuck with a crashed system or a large towing bill. Thoughts on what to do next?

That's not battery voltage, that's charging voltage.
New doesn't mean fully charged unless you actually charged them first. New can actually be only 50% charged when you buy them. Batteries self-discharge on the shelf. Granted, it's slower for AGM batteries, but it still happens. So if they sat on the shelf at the store for 2 months before you bought them, they were not fully charged.
Also - always reset the IBS and reinstall it on fully charged batteries (that's per FCA)

Did you:
Charge the aux battery fully with a good AGM charger BEFORE installing?
Charge the main battery fully with a good AGM charger BEFORE installing?
Disconnect the IBS and lay it aside while charging the batteries when they were out of the vehicle?

If not, go back to those steps and follow them.

Is it possible you blew the high current fuse when replacing the batteries?
You realize that pulling the negative cable off the main battery still leaves the aux battery connected to the system, powering the modules, so the only way to really reset everything is to pull the cables off the IBS and take the two ground cables apart.
If cables touched what they should not touch while you were replacing the batteries, you need to ensure the high current fuse is ok.

Quesiton -

Check fuses (happy to look it up but any other nomenclature other than high current fuse - where or which fuse is it?).
Buy an AGM battery charger - disconnect both batteries and charge to full.
Reconnect both batteries.
If the light is still on then -
Disconnect the negative on the main - from there how do I disconnect the IBS? Do I just disconnect the aux then as well or ?)
