What about getting a refund for the missing tire and sourcing a single elsewhere? May cost a little more but you can make your trip on the new tries.

Im sorry you are experiencing this! How frustrating! What's worse is you cannot communicate with them effectively when they force you to email only. If you return the 3, they may credit you only for the 3 even though you paid for 4. If you keep the three and fight them to send the 4th, that may take forever as it may be back-ordered. If you keep the three, then go and source a 4th somewhere else, then at least you can get them installed and enjoy them while you are battling with them for the partial refund of the 4th. Or you could just dispute the entire order with your CC company and let them worry about contacting you. Its a tough decision no matter what you do.

Years ago, I had a similar experience with 4WD parts of all places. Not with tires, with front end parts. They charged me for everything on the order half of it never arrived. After months of trying to communicate with them only to get canned responses I disputed the charges on my card. 4WD Parts actually acknowledged the dispute and refunded the entire order. I had already had most of the parts I received installed by this time. They never asked for them back, nor did they ever communicate further on the order. I'm wishing you the best but you may find the dispute with your CC company to be the best option. Just my 2 cents.
Yeah, at this point, I would be alright if they sent me a 4th tire this week. I've already waited 2 weeks, and I'm not willing to wait any longer for this vendor. If they can't have a 4th tire here this week, them I'm going to have the credit card charge reversed. I'm my opinion, they should not only be willing to send me a 4th tire, they should offer a partial refund of what I paid for my trouble. I don't expect that to happen, so I will let my credit card company handle it, and they will sit in my driveway.

Because by doing that, it makes it my problem. The way I see it, this is their problem and they're going to fix it, one way or another.

It sucks. But sucks happens sometimes. They're willing to refund the money on the backordered tire. Not sure what else you expect them to do.

I paid for that 4th tire 11 days ago. The proper thing to do was to tell me they had 3 tires in stock and ask me if I wanted to cancel. They also could have refunded me for the 4th tire then bill me for it when it ships. As it stands now, I've paid for a tire I didn't receive. Allowing them to refund that money now would be letting them off the hook for lying to me and letting me find out they lied 11 days later. They are going to refund the entire amount or I will get the charge reversed.

Another story of a company being unethical or incompetent... pretty much the story all around nowadays. Buyers beware.

I know telling the truth and doing the right thing may be foreign to millennials and gen-zs. For us Gen-x'ers, we were brought up differently. We have Boomer morals and standards. I would never screw someone over to make a buck.

Splenda you forget the /s. As a gen-x - all the boomers did was lied to us. The biggest lie they told is that they are always honest.

I do feel like Boomers are ruining everything, but my parents never lied to me. I also have two millennial children who are awesome. Both are college graduates and one is a medical doctor. We trained them well!

I just want to say that I feel like the people who are saying to just get a refund for the shorted tire are completely missing the point. This seller lied. He charged me for 4 tires, then 5 days later he shipped 3 tires, then 11 days later I received 3 tires. He knew he shipped me 3 tires. He didn't apologize for shipping me 3 tires. He even acted like he wasn't sure that he had sent me 3 tires and had to check with the warehouse. If I just let him refund me for the tire he shorted me ON PURPOSE, what is to keep him from doing this over and over to other people. If he has to pay to return the tires to his warehouse, maybe it will teach him a lesson. At this point, the only way I accept the shorted tire and keep the 3 tires I received is it he gives me some sort of partial refund. My old ass is going to bed. Nite!

I had a situation years back from a company in CA. I ordered a over built rear bumper with tire rack and all bells. Stupidly over built and cost. The internet wasn't like it is now I went through a few months plus with it. When I got ahold of someone at the company they denied that I had ordered from them. C.C. was charged when I ordered, it was a back and forth with them then I said I was going to hang up and have charge reversed with C.C. company and file in other avenues. Then magically it had been sent out to powder coating. All around s####y experience, I was going to order their front bumper until that. Called Thompson and actually got the owner on phone, asked him if they could do better, than the other company. He said yes no doubt, that one arrived in the same week. . . Before the other one did by over a month. Moral of this is if only contact is email I don't trust and fast to contact C.C. company to reverse charges. In last 4 years I've had to do that probably 4-5 times and 3 times on Amazon orders.
FYI the company that jacked me around then closed shop after screwing over many customers, another company started building their products, a top company. I've got a few things from them since, good heavy duty aftermarket Jeep parts.

Enough with the Boomers vs Gen X nonsense. People are people, each chooses their actions. Odds are that the website that sold and then shorted the tires is not run by a Boomer, but whoever runs it made their choice.

It's gonna be your problem one way or another. There way of fixing it is giving you a refund for the missing tire. The company doesn't owe you anything other than refund for the single tire. From what your statement said it was fulfilled by a warehouse in Dallas which may or may not be the same company. Prove that they did it with malicious intent is gonna be pretty hard. Like others have said you accepted the partial order so if you want to return the 3 you did accept it would be according to their return policy which some companies require you to pay the return shipping. You already said the tires have a new manufacture date on them. Keep the tires, take the refund, buy another tire from someone else and move on with your life and don't deal with them again. Why give them anymore of your time and energy.
