Just for fun....When Deepseek AI was asked to pick the best off road tire for a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon that is quite on the highway, it answered:

When looking for an off-road tire that also performs well on the highway for a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, you want a tire that balances aggressive off-road capability with good on-road manners, including low noise levels. Here are some excellent options:

### 1. **BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2**
- **Why it's good**: The KO2 is a legendary all-terrain tire known for its durability, off-road traction, and relatively quiet ride on the highway. It features a rugged sidewall for off-road protection and a tread design that minimizes road noise.
- **Highway Noise**: Low for an all-terrain tire.
- **Best For**: A great all-around tire for both off-road and on-road use.

### 2. **Nitto Ridge Grappler**
- **Why it's good**: The Ridge Grappler is a hybrid tire that combines the aggressive look and performance of a mud-terrain tire with the quieter ride of an all-terrain tire. It offers excellent off-road traction while maintaining good on-road comfort and noise levels.
- **Highway Noise**: Moderate, but quieter than traditional mud-terrain tires.
- **Best For**: Those who want a more aggressive look without sacrificing too much on-road comfort.

### 3. **Toyo Open Country A/T III**
- **Why it's good**: The Open Country A/T III is a newer all-terrain tire that offers excellent off-road performance, long tread life, and a quiet ride on the highway. It has a unique tread pattern that helps reduce road noise while providing good traction in various conditions.
- **Highway Noise**: Very low for an all-terrain tire.
- **Best For**: Drivers who want a quiet, comfortable ride with solid off-road capability.

### 4. **Falken Wildpeak A/T3W**
- **Why it's good**: The Wildpeak A/T3W is a highly rated all-terrain tire that offers excellent off-road performance, especially in wet and snowy conditions. It also provides a smooth and quiet ride on the highway.
- **Highway Noise**: Low for an all-terrain tire.
- **Best For**: Those who need a tire that performs well in all weather conditions, including snow.

### 5. **Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT**
- **Why it's good**: This tire is designed for serious off-road adventures but also offers a quiet and comfortable ride on the highway. It features a durable construction and aggressive tread pattern for off-road traction.
- **Highway Noise**: Low for an all-terrain tire.
- **Best For**: A good balance between off-road capability and on-road comfort.

### 6. **Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT**
- **Why it's good**: The AT3 XLT is a rugged all-terrain tire that offers excellent off-road traction and a quiet, comfortable ride on the highway. It also has good wet and snow performance.
- **Highway Noise**: Low for an all-terrain tire.
- **Best For**: Those looking for a durable, all-around tire with good on-road manners.

### 7. **Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T**
- **Why it's good**: The Baja Boss A/T is a newer tire that offers aggressive off-road performance with a focus on reducing road noise. It has a unique tread design that helps with both traction and noise reduction.
- **Highway Noise**: Moderate, but quieter than traditional mud-terrain tires.
- **Best For**: Drivers who want a more aggressive tire without the typical noise penalty.

### Key Considerations:
- **Tire Size**: Ensure the tire size you choose is compatible with your Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, especially if you have a lift kit or other modifications.
- **Load Rating**: Make sure the tire has the appropriate load rating for your vehicle, especially if you plan to carry heavy loads or tow.
- **Tread Life**: Consider the expected tread life, especially if you do a lot of highway driving.

### Conclusion:
For a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon, the **BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2** and **Toyo Open Country A/T III** are excellent choices if you prioritize a quiet highway ride while still maintaining strong off-road capabilities. If you want a more aggressive look with slightly more noise, the **Nitto Ridge Grappler** or **Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T** are great options.

I've never seen AI on a tough trail and their tire choices prove that. The KO2 is literally the worst performing off road tire I've ever run. Might as well be a slick at the 1st sign of mud. Even it's on road performance is mediocre at best. Barely better off road than any standard LT tire and worse in the rain and snow than any other AT I've ever run. If you want off road performance you need at least an RT in my opinion, but if you're going to compromise for an AT at least pick a good one like the mickey Thompson baja boss AT or the Yokohama x-AT.

True and this was just for fun, and the emphasis was quiet on the highway. So it picked a tire that is definitely a compromise for both.

It's 2nd choice isn't even all that quiet in my experience. Sometimes AI isn't the answer... and this looks like one of them.

AI is just scraping the web for answers, there's totally nothing intelligent about it.

As this forum runs banner ads, for things you've talked about but never searched for? Welcome to the internet... she's always listening.
Absolute truth, just like when you turn your cell phone OFF, its not actually off. Why do you think they make them so you can't take the batteries out anymore.

I would trust robot intelligence in many instances over what passes for human intelligence these days.
There is some merit to that statement to strongly consider

I've had KO2s on a wrangler and a cherokee for the last 12 years driving in South Dakota winters. They have been fantastic in the mix of snow and ice we have on our roads and trails.
