I want to install some aftermarket fog lights and would like to know where the best place to come through the firewall is on the drivers side would be? Pictures would be a big help.
Thanks!

If you have an automatic trans, use the hole that normally carries the clutch cable ... There are a couple youtube vids showing it ... Works perfectly ...

Driver side you have the aforementioned clutch cable hole that's pretty visible from the top - it's black and about 1.5" or so with another .75" plug below it on the firewall to the driver side and down of the brake booster.

For the passenger side, if you're technically savvy and can pull the battery tray, there's this nipple on the factory harness grommet that is hollow if you snip the tip off.

Typically the passenger side one is good for the Aux harness because it's limited in length so I'd suggest the driver side since it's loads easier and you can probably control cable length.

Drivers side interior...check above the footwell and you should see the black plug on the left. Push it out and remove from the engine bay.

Just want to be clear, push on the hard plastic plug from inside out to the engine bay?

Twist. Than pull from the engine side. If it is too tight, pry with a small screwdriver from engine side.

Pic from the inside. It’s the lower left plug. Dremel or drill out for your wire/s then seal around with RTV or like sealant. If you leave to plug out and don’t seal you will get water in the drivers footwell as reported by other JL/JT owners.

also you can pick up spares of this plug online. Here is the part info.

Adding details on the two firewall pass-through options on the driver side.

Firewall Dash Panel Plug and Button Plug

Some may call these firewall grommets. Each plug, below, is an exact match to the OEM original (confirmed after I received shipment of each of the two types of plugs below). The dash panel plug has been known to fall off. If the button plug remains untouched, it should last for the life of the vehicle.
