I'd like to see a little more room in the interior. Almost make it like the rivian or new scout size. And that inline 6 turbo once they perfect it.

I'd really like the 6.4 but 20k for a 6.4 is nuts. The last I looked the 3.6 crate is like 7k and the 6.4 is 10k. It's not like there boxing up the 3.6 for you and leaving it in the bed. The 6.4 upgrade was reasonable in the challenger/charger it should be the same way in the gladiator and wrangler.

It's so wild. Is this Hemi without hemispherical heads made with exotic materials? Flat plane crank? 9k RPM? Titanium sodium filled valves? No? Then no....not 19k.
It's high, yeah, but - what they must to do meet government demands or face outrageous fines in times of trouble is crazy. It's not about just dropping in a V8 engine. The transmission is more expensive, Cooling - testing for towing and payload with the new weight and weight distribution, springs and other parts, and the evaporative emissions testing and paperwork involved is scary.

I'd also wonder if part of the pricing is to sort out the "gee, that would be nice" but don't really need it crowd, keeping numbers low and making CAFE easier to obtain. Everything that causes more emissions and lower mpg costs a company like this big bucks - it's already a brick on wheels/tires that resist rolling down the road.

Like I do on my restorations - price things high enough to keep out the gripers and whiners and complainers but keep those who truly want restoration perfection coming back for more.

I got the survey. As long as I can still get it with a soft top and a manual transmission, I'll be happy. I was maybe going to upgrade to a 2025 until I learned they dropped the manual. Just gonna drive my '21 into the ground, now. Unless...

Nice - but to have to remove the body from the frame for service? Hmmmmmmm
Lifting off the body isn't really that big of a deal, but having wrenched on a Hurricane, no thanks. The Hurricane will NEVER be perfected, it was just a stop gap engine to keep the bigger trucks and SUVs rolling until the all electric future arrived.

The Scout and Rivian are the size of an F-150 or Ram 1500. If you want a truck that size, just go get one.

The problem is they have US as buyers...they need new buyers. So then they ask how do they keep us happy while attracting new people. In the end I wanted a jeep..but need a truck. Turns out, this is exactly what I need/want. What would I change As a true design? Really, just the engine. I mean it doesn't do bad, but to have a 5.7 when I have my wife and kids, camping gear loaded in the back...I wish I had more go juice. On the trails, fully competent. But literally keep it just like the wrangler, with a bed, more power. For features..give me high/low tiedowns in the corner of the truck bed would be nice, and a higher wattage converter, and a build in air compressor, 35/37!!!...Yes we do these things already...but from the factory would be nice.

I may end up with one. I didn't realize the scout was that long, but I would like the width.

But
Gladiator 218″ L x 74″ W x 75-76″ H
Rivian 217″ L x 79″ W x 78″ H
Scout 229.2" L x 91.6" W x 77.7" H

F150 232" x 80" x 77"

I’d like it to remain a look alike of the wrangler but I would like to see about 4” more in width. I think the footwells need a few more inches in width and I feel you could keep the overall width the same just steAl maybe 2” per side by shrinking the fender flares and moving the body width outboard Those 2”.
Also, a reasonaby priced more powerful engine upgrade. Jeep is behind the competition here In power output.

I‘m watching the Scout intently. Definitely an interesting product to me. Seems like they’ve avoided the repair issues that Rivian experiences with their design choices and RTR philosophy. Hopefully they dont become the same type of brand that Rivian has become with their sanctimonious owners who think they’re smarter than all.

Yes! At least make the compressor an option from the factory. The tiedowns, yeah, for sure, and 400 watts is almost a joke for an inverter. Fine, it runs a cheapy compressor I have to handle the air bags and would inflate a tire after a while, charge my laptop and other stuff.......... but it's otherwise pretty limiting.

That length depends which F-150 you spec. A crew cab with a 5.5' bed is just under 232" long, only 3" longer than the Scout.

I am years from replacing my Gladiator, but I would definitely want it to retain as much commonality with the Wrangler as possible. As mentioned already, a higher power inverter, maybe a improved tie down system, and keep the Pentastar. A couple of gearing and tire options would be nice as well.

I'd like to see them offer the 5.7 as an upgrade option over the Pentastar and have 392's reserved for a cool halo model like a Raptor fighting Mojave. r

BTW: I threw a hundo at the deposit for a Scout SUV when they released them a few months ago.
