I have the Toyo AT3 and they perform quite well in the winter. Much better than I expected, maybe better than my Wildpeaks and those are praised by many to be a great winter tire.

I had the BFGs on a previous Jeep and they were horrid in the winter. I'll never run them again.

So what tires/wheels did you end up with?!?!
DIdn't end up with any just yet... was gonna order and go with the Toyo's AT3 but....

my wife's 2021 Grand Cherokee L (which has been PERFECT and super reliable thus far at 30k - just literally got out of the warranty period) threw a P000A code - along with an accidental breaking of her center console lid from shutting it too hard with too much crap in the first storage center.... soooo I may be holding off a few weeks here just to make sure that the GC issues isn't a huge amount of money to fix....

I've narrowed my choices down to:

Toyo Open County At3 35x12.5x17 (59#'s)

BFG KO2 37x12.5x17 (64#).

The BFG are smaller for a 37 and not much more weight wise - and it seems those with the 3.73 don't have that much of a difference compared to driving with 35s.

I do live in WI - so I'd prefer the tire that is better in the winter. I do zero off-roading other than farm tracts / accessing huntingl and.
You’re gonna notice a difference with 37’s.

The BFG are maybe 1/4 smaller than some 37’s, and also the same as some 37’s. Thw whole chatter about them being smaller needs to die. Look at tire specs.. my 37 inch Coopers are also 36.5.

The wife's Grand Cherokee L issue wasn't a big issue - so I have the Toyo AT3's pended for install tomorrow at discount tire!

Have you figured out that the fear of 3.73s was pointless yet? JLUs are only a couple hundred pounds lighter and come with 3.45s and 32s from the factory. That's nearly identical to 3.73s and 35s. The 8 speed has a ridiculously low 1st gear for an auto so regearing isn't nearly as important as it was in a TJ or a JK.

Figured I'd say this. 3.73s with 37s with about 20k miles on them with the 6 speed. It's fine, 5th only works in 70+ mph, 6th doesn't exist lol.

Yeah I haven’t noticed a difference other than from a dead stop it takes a little more effort to get going. Will update with more highway driving.

I know you don't wheel off road but do you rub at full lock to passenger side?

I did a lot of research and settled on Toyo AT3s for weight, looks, and on-road performance. I drive a lot and run parts for work. 50-100 miles a day. Love the tires. 3.73 leaves a little to be desired, but it's very easy to live with as it is. Zero issues keeping up with traffic, passing, etc. I don't tow with this as I have a 1-ton for stuff like that.
