Depends on if you want “poke” or not. Most aftermarket wheels for Jeeps are designed to allow for 12.5” wide tire clearance when turning and flexing, so they will give you “poke”. Rocks, mud, etc can be an issue but they look better and perform better (more flex while turning without rubbing fenders, bumpers etc.). You can get RokBlokz and the like to help. If you don’t want “poke” you need to stick with factory wheel specs or similar.

Add: why do you want to go to an 18” tire? 17” will get you better selection and pricing since it’s the most common size for Jeeps and the like. Tip: if you want new wheels, find the one you like and put in tour vehicle specs/lug pattern…it will show you what’s available in that wheel.

I’ll tell you this, if you can weigh your stock wheels and those your thinking about, plus tires that you want to go with them, if nothing else I would go with the lighter ones, just for the advantage of less unsprung weight that will rob power and efficiency more than anything else.

I put +11mm offset wheels on my Mojave and they are 8.5 inches wide. I don't like a lot of poke but I wanted more than the +25 that the AEV SALT wheels give. I put on 35x12.5R17 Falken Wildpeak Load range E just like the factory tires. I love the tires for traction and wear and durability. I love the amount of poke the 8.5 wide wheels with +11 mm offset and the 12.5 inch tires provide. You will want mud flaps on the front and PPF on the hinges and rear fender flare. My wheel and tires setup increased each corner by 10.6 lbs. I did not add the AEV 2 inch spacer lift for a year and wow was that a mistake from a looks and off road performance stand point. The only other mistake I made is not going with the 37 inch tires instead of the 35. I'm having some warranty issues with the 35s and if they come through with some money I'll get them again in 37 and a lighter load range if possible.

Good Luck
