Nice write up and good tips from the replies as well. I am interested but have not pulled the trigger yet since I really need the front bumper. Maybe a modular design that allows for specific use cases and has the ability to expand.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. Embedding the camera in the tailgate trim was a great idea. I'd bet you could spruce the hole up a bit with some type of rubber seal and I would bet would help hold the camera too. With your foam and tape, does that do the trick keeping the camera from shaking too much? That was always my hesitation with camera mirrors. Unless it is mounted correctly or has a gyroscope feature like a go-pro, the display will show vibration.
I think so. Video is solid as a rock.

Been thinking about looking into getting a few more of the bumper cameras and wiring a switch up. One in the bed, one on the camper.

So on mine, I believe the 930 single camera. If you touch off center and drag your finger, it will move the camera up and down a bit.

That looks really great and clean. It looks like the front view is unobstructed. Do the visors still function?

Thanks!
Thanks, The way I have set up right now the passenger side works fine but the drivers side hits. I hardly ever use them so I am not too worried about it. I might get longer screws and some spacers and drop the bracket about a 1/2 inch or so and that should resolve the issue.

I added one of these to my Daughters Mustang. Works really well and the anti glare screen cover made a big difference. Probably going to add one to the JT as well to improve vision with the Smartcap blocking a lot of my view.

I have been wanting one of these a while, but I end up backing out because I worry about theft. Do any of you drive without doors or with half/tube doors? Are there any security or anti theft suggestions, specifically for the mirror/screen itself.

The oem mount, which completely replaces the stock mirror in the vehicle, makes it very difficult to steal. Stealing it would be as difficult as stealing the stock mirror out of the vehicle.

The Wolfbox G900TriPro is a nice unit with multi-cameras, including a Trail Cam-like view, and many features. IMO theft is relatively unlikely because the auxiliary cameras that make the full set, would be hard to quickly remove undamaged since they are wired and routed throughout the vehicle. The main unit attaches to the OEM rearview mirror, so its presence isn't so visually prominent.

Regarding cost & theft concerns (again), we installed a similar, but simpler/less expensive product in an AWD Ford Transit Van RV for full-time front/rear trip recording. NO front bumper/grill "trail cam" feature, however, just a center mounted, forward looking camera at inside mirror level (and of course the rear view camera).

This Jansite product offers a full-time, front-back recorder for $59.95 (w/$10 off coupon). The rear camera looks externally similar to the WolfBox offering. Possibly at this price point, theft would be less of a concern, and again unlikely since there is still a wired rear camera input, that cannot be easily/quickly removed.

Jansite "Upgraded 10'' Rear View Mirror Camera Mirror Dash Cam Front and Rear 1080P Backup Camera Full Touch Screen w Loop Recording, G-Sensor Night Vision 170° Wide Angle."

High resolution makes it very good for seeing details on things that are very close to you, but in the mirror, you can't see much detail on things very far away; cars look a lot smaller in the Wolfbox than they do in the mirror, but that's alright; it's really not a problem.
I ran across something on the Wolfbox site today. You can zoom in and out on the rear camera only by swiping the far right side of the screen
