Factory Error Mojavicon

I noticed today that Jeep accidentally installed a red trimmed Rubicon Jeep logo on my 2023 Mojave’s passenger side instead of the proper orange trimmed Mojave logo. This is clearly the source of my bone-stock Mojave’s 1% better rock crawling prowess as compared to other stock Mojaves. But I can’t help wishing that they had accidentally installed a front locker instead!

Dont feel too bad, the factory missbuilt my Mojave X, put regular bumpers on instead of the steel bumpers its suppose to come with. I bought mine over the phone from a dealer 2 hrs away and didnt find out til I went to pick it up. Got it straightened out but Ive always wondered what else might have been missed that I cant see.

most parts are staged based on the VIN of the next vehicle in the line. So - the people putting things on were presented with incorrect parts, they don't generally "grab" incorrect parts.
Still - inspections might catch such things - but most inspections are for defects, scratches, dings, missing parts, bolts in incorrectly (typically flagged by the equipment installing the part) and so on. It's a lot more complicated than it was 50 years ago.

Stuff like door trim panels laying in the back seat because it didn't fit well enough to be installed on the line, or door window frames that had to be bent into alignment with the door openings. The icing on the cake was the "Chrysler Corporation Quality Assured" and "OK to Ship" stickers on them. I still have some of those stickers stuck inside my toolbox.

a few years ago I was talking to a guy who did body work on the side. He was telling of a Chevy he did that had been hit in the center of one side. They got it all fixed up, painted that side, then went to put the holes back for the trim. That's when they discovered - the trim on the right side was different from the trim on the left.
If you looked at either side, they looked fine, but when you looked - carefully looked - at one side then right over to the other, one side had one level of time and the other side another.

I'd think even my sales guy would notice a Mojave X coming in with the wrong bumpers.

Almost missed that part - my 82 SX4 - I bought it with 154,000 miles on it. I got it fixed up enough to drive it - redid most of the interior, engine bay, etc. - running reliably. Used it as a daily driver.
One day on the way to work when it was sort of chilly out, my wife commented - I feel cold air blowing on me.
Nope, heater was working fine, no vents were open.
Got it home, sat in the passenger seat and realized I could look up and see DAYLIGHT between the top of the window frame and the door opening.
The front upper part of the window frame was mis-formed and didn't fit the door opening so it missed the seal. It went almost 3 decades and over 150,000 miles that way.
I tried and tried, no way even with hydraulic jacks, to get it to fit, so cut out the window frame and used one from a car I was parting out.

Hopefully your Mojave has a real Mojave steering wheel, unlike the new ones that come with a standard steering wheel.

I wouldn't say "standard" but definitely not with the higher end wheel like they used to..........

And Mojave owners will likely not like seeing this on a 2025 Jeep sitting in the showroom......

Put that one in a safe place and go get another one to drive.

No - I'd take one to be sure, but no.
I got what I call the Overland wheel - a sort of in between the higher end Mojave and the lower end Sport.

This is - wait for it............ a 2025 Wrangler hemi at only $106,000
(probably can't tell that's gold stitching in it from the photo, sorry)

I was not too surprised to see that wheel, then wondered - uh, why don't at least the Mojave X get them?
I'm not really caring either way with mine, but it did get me that hey - they are STILL putting that style in brand new vehicles just built in the last 2 or 3 months..

I suppose they'd sort of wonder if I was sitting in it with some tools in my hands?
