actually you could have gone a smidge further with this paint job.6.4 L fueled by hydrogen with a tank that will take me a minimum of 650 miles… add mattracks option and wheels that drop down so I can drive down railroad tracks…
If you are going to dream then dream BIG… 50 cal machine guns with laser…
ok I’ve gone to far![]()
i wave the flag for the earlier Allison v1710. 40 years ago i believe that's what was powering unlimited hydroplanes. standing on shore they would rattle your fillings out maybe a little pee too. good times!…..and the Supercharged 27 Liter Rolls Royce Merlin.
A bit over 30 years ago, I owned a 27L RR Meteor (Tank Version) in a crate. It came out of a surplus sale from the Austrian Military. It made it into a vintage speed boat after I sold it here in FLA. Vividly recall - each valve cover had 52 bolts!i wave the flag for the earlier Allison v1710. 40 years ago i believe that's what was powering unlimited hydroplanes. standing on shore they would rattle your fillings out maybe a little pee too. good times!
It's not "gatekeeping". No one is trying to keep JTs pure to authenticity. It's more just.....why? Mopar doesn't even really make a good V8 option. Just cuz it has the word "Hemi" attached to it doesn't mean anything. Toyota Corollas have Hemi heads too. So what.Funny the amount of "Gatekeeping" that goes on around here when this topic comes up. Like people's sensibilities get offended if they should ever whisper the notion a HEMI V8 coming to the JT.
Yeah like some of early 00s GM's V6s making over 300 hp. A new gen Camaro V6 running away from a 60s Camaro is sad and hilarious at the same time.Sort of funny as the 3.6 blows the old 304 away.
If it's going to be done, make it a real jump.
I could have been clear but my comment was more directed about the original video content creator. It's not "gatekeeping". No one is trying to keep JTs pure to authenticity. It's more just.....why? Ah right on, gotcha. No worries.I could have been clear but my comment was more directed about the original video content creator.
I get what you are saying regardless.
Hemi is an old design and really has no meaning today. It's a marketing term. People still look amazed "you have a hemi!? Wow".Just cuz it has the word "Hemi" attached to it doesn't mean anything. Toyota Corollas have Hemi heads too.
Right.Hemi is an old design and really has no meaning today. It's a marketing term. People still look amazed "you have a hemi!? Wow".
It used to mean something. Not today.
Besides, today's Chrysler hemi isn't even a true hemi chamber.
