Which turn signal harness pin gets me voltage for DRL like behavior during day and night (e.g. with auto headlights that are off or on)

Oddly specific, but I'm trying to achieve a different result for the backlights on my various fog lamps. From this guide, I tapped into "LEFT DRL LAMP DRIVER" which gets voltage when I either have auto-headlights on and they aren't on (i.e. daytime) or if I turn the headlights to parking/sidemarker only. I will always run with auto-headlights, so what I'd like is something that has voltage whether the lights are actually on or off.

This is basically how my fender DRLs function as far as I know, so do I want "LEFT FRONT PARK LAMP DRIVER" instead?

That is voltage drop on the canbus system, BE VERY CAREFUL when adding or removing even a small current draw to anything in there. You can spit codes and shutdown things and worse fry a circuit

If your looking for just a power on when running use a fuse tap or if you have aux switches there is a wire setup for exactly that, the cig lighter/12v port is that way too

A jl scan tool can also change your drl location to turn or fog, lb, hb etc just a fyi

Duly noted. These are extremely low draw (it's powering a single backlight rated at 0.025A plus a single relay).

The scan tool was the solution. I already have a Tazer Mini...what I was looking for is DRL Dropout. Basically: don't cut voltage to the DRL lead if the turn signal is on. Now I get power from either DRL or Parking Lamp, and if it happens to be DRL...it won't cut out if the turn signal is activated.

It really doesn't make sense without the larger picture, but I'd have to type of a novella...so instead, I'll just say thanks for reminding me to check the Tazer.

In addition, quadratic makes a nice t harness that goes between the fender and the factory harness. You can then get access to everything that hits the fender without cutting or tapping the factory harness. That’s how I accessed the blinker circuit to add side blinkers.

And that's how I got access to the Jeep wiring without making a single cut or splice for my snow plow lighting controls. (I used the Oracle lighting adapters) and made a couple of mods for my use since I needed triggers for left turn, right turn, parking lights and so on. I wasn't about to use any taps or cut any factory wiring. Glad of that, too, since when I traded I simply unplugged my wiring!

Funny thing is, I bought an Amazon version (which looked identical), cleaned it up a bit (rewrapped/sealed, and modified the leads to use a Deutsch connector)…only to find out I totally missed that it wasn’t for turn signals - it was only DRL and parking lamp taps.

So I scrapped the idea of using them. But then in a most ironic fashion, I did end up needing both DRL and parking lamp taps, but it was too late…I was not going to redo it for a 4th time.

I posted my method, with my notes on wires and colors, to sort of help since I've been this route, no use someone starting all over.
I had to modify the Oracle harness, but I didn't care. I figured out the pin-out, their wire colors and so on, and it worked great (while supporting a Jeep supplier)

The only bad part was on my 2022 I did the connections from the engine bay and under the truck - STUPID!
Pull the damned fender liner clips and the silly connector is there staring back at you!

How many wires are there? If that t goes between the fender and vehicle harness, it definitely has the blinker.

For sure
That's how I got the turn signals - from the harness that's at the frame, from main harness out to the fender flare area up to the TS and markers.

I can tap into the turn signal with this, for sure, but I didn’t before I sealed it all up 😭
