Thanks everyone, I decide no to think about it's history just simply enjoy the fun. I will start modified it soon probably will start with the tire, the stock tire just looks silly.
Exactly…….

If you’re concerned about maintenance….. just do it.

When or if I’ve ever purchased a used vehicle that didn’t have any maintenance history…..I’d perform the maintenance anyway and check every potential item that could need replaced, repaired or maintained.

Hi guys I’m new here, I just bought my 2023 overland with 50k miles last week from dealer. It’s a good condition first owner car and I love everything about it.

But when I start researching about first owner, I found out it’s a company called “FCA US LLC”. Based on google its Fiat Chrysler Automobile, simply said is the manufacturer of Jeep.

Its this something I should be aware of? What could this car possibly used to? A rental or test drive car? I hope someone can help with my panic!

50k miles is kinda high for 2 years - I think the general rule is 15k a year. If you inspected it, or had it inspected and everything checked out, I wouldn't worry about it being a rental/lease/dealer shop truck. I mean, it's not setup to be a swamp buggy or rock crawler - so all of the use should have been mild to moderate.

Unless it was taken to a dealership or similar, there may not be any maintenance record on the internet.
Consumer protection experts also advise that there are other services out there and no one should ever rely on Carfax for solid info, just as a guide, check the other info companies as well, and do your own digging. Relying only on carfax is, as they all but say, foolish.

Was it a CPO from a CDJR dealership?

I was talking to a salesman from a Sewell dealership in Dallas, and he said they don’t report the service performed at the dealership to CarFax. They report it to the manufacturer and keep their dealership records obviously. I thought that was interesting since they often include a free copy of the CarFax report on used vehicles they sell.

I had the rocker panels replaced on a WJ I owned - those include a good chunk of the rear panel as well.
None of the body and paint work ever showed up on any report. That body shop didn't report anything.
Some do, some don't. And when they do - the tracking agencies (there are at least 2 or 3 others besides carcrap), have to rely on how the event is written by the person writing it up. Based on how some dealership shops here write up repair orders and invoices, you'd never have a clue as to what they did unless you were the owner and asked at the time. Checked this, verified that, inspected wheels (for a possible ABS issue - inspect wheels????) It's crazy.
It should only ever be a guide - if it says clean, it may not be, if it reports an accident, it might not have actually been an accident as in collision on a public road. One of the southern states' consumer protection group found multiple vehicles for sale on eBay that had clean records, but which in fact had been salvaged wrecks.
If you find good maintenance records - cool, that's great, but if not - it doesn't mean there wasn't any maintenance. Look at the numbers of owners here who do their own.

Look up the VIN on nhtsa.gov for any recalls, then check with any dealer to see if they have been fixed.

If bought through a Jeep dealership, they have to be fixed before they can be sold. Can't sell a vehicle with an outstanding recall. (used car lots may, or some shady dealerships - but........)

Agree. My Cobra was rearended shortly after I purchased it. I got insurance on board and took it to the dealer for repair. Needed new IRS parts, exhaust and bumper. When I went to list it for sale I pulled a carfax. Clean report. Not one word about accident or repairs.

It says it was a rental on the carfax and with that amount of miles, I would pretty much guarantee it was through one of the bigger rental car companies. Also those companies have contracted maintenance through one of the many live places and they are shockingly stringent on the maintenance. My dad has worked at a rental car conpany previously and they would stop renting out the vehicle if it was at the time for an oil change of low tire tread.

When I worked for Alamo 25 years ago, renting came before maintenance. But that was a long time ago.

100% this. I tried renting a Wrangler when our MDX was hit and they issued the Jeep and then pulled it back because of the maintenance schedule. I had never seen that. The guy at Enterprise said they're religious about the maintenance because of their own liability if something goes wrong on the vehicle while in service.

Plus as stated, 2 years at 50K definitely is a rental. Nobody is leasing a Gladiator and driving that much and having to pay the huge mileage penalties.

Enjoy your truck and don't look back!

A rental owned by FCA - hmmmmm
No one thought of a realtor or other type of person on the road constantly to rack up that many miles? A realtor we used went through cars every couple of years and only leased them due to the driving they had to do.

I guess if people take carfax at face value...........

I've leased and have bought CPO leased vehicles and this is usually the CARFAX record (this is from the CARFAX on our 2019 CPO Acura MDX - at the time of purchase)

Jeep Gladiator First owner of my Gladiator is Chrysler?! 1752518955467-bv

I will say I don't read CARFAX as automotive gospel, but the rental vs leased vehicles are usually spelled out.

The other options for the OP's JT are a service vehicle at the dealership (they could have listed it as a rental) or a corporate / manager vehicle (often you'll see that explained).
