I see that Warn winches are on sale and wondering what is a good one that will fit the factory steel bumper with no issues.
with a few simple mods, you can have a REAL Warn winch and join the "Cool Kids" club.

I think im looking at going with the standard Zeon 12-s, Warnount plate and an Epic series 1" fairlead. It all comes out to around. $500. The winches seem stupid cheap on their site.
You can't even get the HF Apex 12000 setup for $500. Closer to $800 or more depending on the winch plate you purchase. So while the winch plate may cost about the same, the Warn winch is about 3 times more expensive (think $1,500 to 2,000 or more). That's one reason my JTR has an Apex 12000 on the front.

As a side note, my wife "bought" some stuff from the Wayfair Discount website. Looks just like the regular Wayfair website, logos, fonts, etc. A lot of stuff listed appeared to be discounted like 70-80% plus free shipping. Well, I told her it was a scam but she tried it anyway, "buying" some outdoor furniture valued at $800 for about $150.

Well, later in the day, she got a call from Chase (credit card) asking if she had made this purchase. They told her it was a scam and cancelled the transaction. Unfortunately, the company had made several other purchases (totaling about $1,200) that the company used since they had the credit card information. In the end, we got all of the charges reversed but it was still a hassle. When I looked closer at the website, I could not find any sort of address, not even a PO box. There was only one reference to one address in Hong Kong for product returns (good luck). So just be careful with purchases on rogue websites, especially when the prices seem, as you say, "stupid cheap."

Same here, When I purchased my HF winch I joined the Inside track club for $20, I got an instant 20% off. which gave me $131 off. so $110 discount after the $20 to join.
