Hi all,
recently installed a Warn winch into my jtrd factory steel bumper. And it was miserable. I used the warn company winch mounting kit. And it almost felt like I was sent the wrong mounting kit. It fit, sort of.
7 hrs later, I got most everything bolted into place and I can’t get the back bolts of my front skid plate to line up. Anybody else have this issue?
I go to put the front trim piece to fill in the holes, and the mounting holes on the bumper are blocked by the winch mounting plate, I had to cut 3 of the plastic tabs off to get it to fit, only using the top two. anybody else have this issue?
Winch got scratched up trying to get it to fit, I blame that on my purchases of the Zeon 10 instead of the 8.
Oh I also have this whole big metal piece extra that the directions don’t reference at all, please see pic below. Anybody know where I was suppose to put this?
Also I’d highly suggest not following the directions and put the fairlead on before installing the winch. Looking like I might have to take everything off to get to the nuts to tighten the fairlead on.
