Your first post kind of set the adverse tone. What did you really expect? Maybe you are use to being the big cheese in other walks of life, but everybody here is equally worthless to include me.

Most members will go out of their way to help any newbie to include you if they act sincere but you are going to get roasted if not sincere or condescending. Leaving is on you, but if you can get past the hurt feelings, jump back in without the lecturing and it will be a great place for you.

I do kind of get his point. I'm new here and it wasn't long before I was getting angry personal attacks over a difference of opinion.
But I recognized that it was all one person who seems to be very unhappy in their life, so I hit ignore and 'abracadabra', everything was fine. Still disagreeing with people, still arguing, but no more personal attacks.

There is a lot of good info on here. Sometimes you just have to weed through it. Every forum is like that. A lot of guys will stop what they are doing and go out a take a picture or two if needed to help someone out. Use the right tone in your posts, you will get a lot of help. Like they say. You get a lot more with honey then you do with vinegar.

People get too butthurt nowadays.

On another forum I frequent, someone posted a recipe for smoked chicken in the cooking section and I replied that his chicken looked great and asked for the recipe.

He obligingly replied with said recipe with ingredient measurements in in grams and liters.

I replied and thanked him for the recipe but jokingly stated "please speak American, what are g's and l's?".

He basically replied that I had offended him and that was a offensive thing to post.

He promptly blocked me.

TLDR- I got blocked and his post for the recipe for the smoked chicken disappeared, which I never copied. Damn, that chicken looked good too....

Wow….. I’ve heard similar stories / situations … not necessarily on the internet, but real life situations. Like Job interviews & just basic communications with ‘people’.
My sister-n-law is an accountant /Tax preparer. She tells us all sorts of stories from her ‘connections’….. It’s mind boggling…..

This has been the most helpful forum I have been on. People gota learn to how to live their own life and weed though all the ridiculousness.

The funny thing is today I added two badge of honors to my truck. I was not able to complete the trails so I put the badges on upside down. I bet some people would lose their shit over that. I really need another inch or two of clearance to be comfortable on those trails. Hopefully I make it back after some adjustments and can complete the trails. At that point I will flip them over. However, it’s still an adventure to make it out to these trails and attempt them.
