I can’t disagree here. My off road lights and fogs are KC. Top notch in every way. I’m also using their rock/under hood lights for bed lights. They’re so good.Always go with KC best quality and easy install

Agreed. I may just get it paired one more time to choose red, then abandon the app and just use the aux switch powering the board. Too many colors and silly morphings. I just want to be able to see underneath.I really don't see the point of multicolor rock lights, but then again I don't care about looking cool I care about function. I also really despise RGB apps. Most run like crap or just don't work at all. I also don't need every color under the sun. I'd much rather have a light that had dedicated circuits for couple different colors. That way I can use a switch panel to control what color I want.
IMO rock lights should be white. Scene lights can be colored.
Heavy bugs? I want amber/red.
No bugs? I'll use white, or if theres other campers around I'll use amber/red again.
This is why I'll likely be using Diode Dynamics SSC2R pods for my scene lighting. Just haven't purchased yet because, well, price tag...
Probably too many variables to find another app.I have the LUX lights, that I bought from a friend who sold their gladiator. The quality is great, but the app is poorly done in my opinion. I finally just stopped using it. The issue is that if you have a switch cutting power from your lights to prevent battery drain, the app loses its pairing. So every single time you use them you need to repair. I just gave up. When I use them they’re just on the color I last used with the app. I haven’t successfully paired them in like a year. Is anyone using a different app that works better and holds the settings?
darn you John for making me look back at this.Thanks for the mention!
agreed with the coloring. Just not worth it to me and I’ll probably always have it set on amber anyway.I really don't see the point of multicolor rock lights, but then again I don't care about looking cool I care about function. I like the option of RGB-W. My 6 year old son loves the "colored lights" so I went with RGB-W so that if I want to turn on an orange option at an event etc I can. And then if I am wheeling at night and want white/amber I can. I like not being limited in my selection.agreed with the coloring. Just not worth it to me and I’ll probably always have it set on amber anyway.
I keep going back to the ssc2 as well. They’ll prob be my next purchase.
For me it lit up my entire under carriage on my JKU, made it way easier to make repairs in the dark. And being it doesn't draw much current I could turn it on in my driveway when certain repairs went into the night. I loved it. But yes, I do see some vehicles with disco lights that just add it for looks.Is it just me or is there something I'm just not getting. I don't see how having a bright light BEHIND your tire right in your eyes and throwing a big shadow over the front of the tire helps in airing up/down. Seems counter intuitive. What am I missing....
I TOTALLY get it for lighting up the undercarriage and for repairs, and even to help spotters in the dark or for the bling factor - I just don't get it for the "helping me air up" situation....For me it lit up my entire under carriage on my JKU, made it way easier to make repairs in the dark. I use my ditch lights for that. Plenty.I TOTALLY get it for lighting up the undercarriage and for repairs, and even to help spotters in the dark or for the bling factor - I just don't get it for the "helping me air up" situation....
We do offer free US shipping but if you spend $200 on the website you receive free US shipping applied automatically. This was a recent update to our website in the last few months!darn you John for making me look back at this.
i initially pushed DD to the side because of the price seems so much higher than KC.
In reality if you dig into it’s not that different during the Labor Day sale.
KC = 6 Lights for 352
DD = 4, 8, or 12
I want more than 4 but didn’t think I needed the 8.
A four pack plus a 2 pack add on come to around $395.
these are all for single color lights.
now here’s why I’ll spend the $50 extra and go with DD and heck at that point $80 more gets me two more lights. Now your making this hard.
looking at the 8 pack, for $130 more than the cyclones, you get
- 2 more lights
- a red and amber lens cover for each
- option of 5 or 10 watt whereas KC only has 5w.
I forget does the forum have a discount code? Hey I gotta ask![]()
That's where most users buy an 8 pack and install two in the wheel well positioned different than than directly above but front and rear in the wheel well to eliminate the cast shadow.Is it just me or is there something I'm just not getting. I don't see how having a bright light BEHIND your tire right in your eyes and throwing a big shadow over the front of the tire helps in airing up/down. Seems counter intuitive. What am I missing....
I need to try amber. Thanks for the suggestion. I didn’t really like white. Too harsh. So I’ve been using teal mostly.agreed with the coloring. Just not worth it to me and I’ll probably always have it set on amber anyway.
