I’m up in the Eastern Sierras with not a lot of signal to research, if this has been covered. I climbed up to Kavanaugh Ridge the other day with passengers in the back. Now after every start up, I’m getting a siren sound, that blasts 10 times then stops. Sounds like a police or ambulance siren. It does it everytime I start the jeep, and it did it yesterday with my dog in the back seat when she moved while off-roading. I have the seatbelt warnings shut off. I’m thinking maybe the rear seat sensor may have gone bad? I’ve also plugged the rear seat belts together and it still did it at start up. Any suggestions or anyone else have this? Thanks in advance.

You might have a aftermarket alarm installed from the dealer. I would let them figure it out since it is so new.

It does it everytime I start the jeep, and
Is it’s possible that you could post a recording of this noise? If it’s only doing it ” 10” times then I doubt it’s going to be any type of after market alarm……….?
Any indicators on the dash while you hear this?

Prob a lameass GPS tracker they tried to sell you but never removed when you said no.

Mine screamed until I ripped it out of the OBDII harness.

Sure doesn't sound like anything OEM to me. No indicators on the dash would also lead me to believe its aftermarket or something added afterwards.

Have you added any electrical mods? What about one of your aforementioned backseat passengers playing a prank on you?

One question is do you hear it outside the truck louder than on the inside when you start it? Just curious if this siren is mounted under the hood or inside the car? As thunderspud said its sounds aftermarket but definitely doesn’t have the same pattern or sequence as most car alarms have( they usually run longer) . I would certainly be crawling up under the dash looking for some type of dealer installed immobilization device or gps. If the sound is louder outside then I guess it could be some quirky or different car alarm but should still be able to locate a module under the dash.

If I didn't know this was in a jeep, I would have thought you were on a crab boat in the Bering sea taking on water! That's not factory by any means......

The sound is definitely inside. No after market electronics other than a taser mini. I’ve got just under 5000 miles and it’s never happed until a few days ago

Digging around the Googles is leaning towards a leftover dealer installed GPS tracking device that was probably dealer installed for either their vehicle lot insurance and/or to sell as a dealer add on at delivery.

I would be looking under the dash by the OBDII port for either a splitter harness with a device attached or spliced in around the same area.

If you are uncomfortable with that, then take it to the dealer to fix it.

This really is not a big Scooby Doo mystery to drill down on.

Apparently your landing gear isn't down and locked.

Any chance a buddy of yours is playing a trick on you and installed something?

So I finally took my Gladiator in because of some other issues with the front suspension and was going to have them look into this siren noise. I’ve had other people and dealerships tell me it’s the SWAT alarm. It’s only occurs when I’m out of San Diego. They wanted to keep the jeep for 3 days to diagnose. Ridiculous. I got under the dash and snapped a few pics below. There is a wire with a pink connector tied into one single wire on the back of the diagnostic port. It goes into a fuse that’s electrical taped up and tucked behind the side kick panel. Do you guys think this is the GPS(SWAT) system? It looks to be not factory and added in.
