Uconnect Start Up Screen - every time??

So I've had the Mojave for several months. It is not my daily driver, but it does drive a few times per week. Every time I start the Jeep I get the "accept" screen.
This doesn't seem right, anyone else have this? Should I reset the radio? Everything else works fine, I don't actually have to hit the accept, as it will go away after about 10 seconds.. maybe longer. This just seems like it's not normal to get this screen every time. I should be able to hit the accept and never see this screen again?

Normal. Mine does it everytime. Like you I ignore it and it goes away in a bit. Also small delay in other things as well. I forget that basically it is like a computer booting up these days in new cars. Takes a moment for things to kick on like AC, etc.

Mine does it every time that I can think of. My company truck (a Silverado) has a “taking your eyes off the road is dangerous” screen that comes on every so often and must be cleared with a on-screen button press before you can see the actually radio or map screen. Ironically this requires you to take your eyes off the road if you don’t do it before you start moving. So stupid.

pretty much every touch screen vehicle i've ever driven does this. Makes me miss my old "control knob" style input my Kia had (which had the added advantage of letting you put nav addresses in while driving and i honestly felt was significantly less distracting than a touch screen to attempt to do)

The volume and channel have big knobs and steering mounted controls. The NAV requires touch screen interaction, so it has to be voice or while stopped. The system has no way to differentiate who is providing the input.

The phone doesn't switch to voice only while moving, but in many states it is illegal to hold the phone unless pulled over and parked. I use Android Auto so Google Maps is on the big screen, and it forces voice only when moving.

My first thought is - you just now noticed this?
Every Jeep with a screen that we've ever owned does this - Grand Cherokee, JT, Wrangler, all of them for years.
Likely you were just distracted and didn't notice or whatever. But it's pretty normal.

Like already said - you are agreeing to lawyer talk and saying "I'm not stupid, I'll watch the road and not play while driving".

More thought - it's the distraction of answering questions, thinking ahead, and responding. There's a science to it. Humans can't multitask no matter how hard your boss insists you can while he/she piles work up on your. It's a big LIE. It's not possible. You pay attention to the screen, think to enter a city or street, you've just lost yourself into the NAV and ignoring what's going on outside of the vehicle.
That's why the hands free stuff is bull shit. it's not the holding of the phone, it's the conversation with a person on the other end, thinking about that instead of looking ahead and predicting other drivers.

Normal for mine and my wife's. It automatically accepts anyways, you dont "Have" to hit the button each time

New Mojave here—mine does it too. As someone said above, I start it then do seatbelt, sunglasses, etc so it doesn’t bother me. What does bother me is that the audio is on its last setting. In other words, if I used Apple CarPlay the last time in the car, it waits for that again instead of switching to Bluetooth. My company car is a Chevy Equinox with almost identical settings (although some are reversed which is maddening when going back and forth).

The Equinox will look for a connection even to the point of switching devices if my wife drives the car without me. The Jeep does not even though most of the inside is the same. Is that normalfor the Jeep?

Not just noticing, just finally got annoyed with it., and 100% agree on the multitasking! Its NOT a thing. I am an avid motorcyclist and have been on bikes for over 40 years. So the computers that now take up space in our vehicles (some have 12-18” screens) and amount of people talking with or without handheld devices... Your mind is clearly someplace else. I won’t even get into listening to podcast or audio books while you’re driving and your mind is wandering and you’re not paying attention to what’s going on around you…. You (not you, but you know what I mean) will stop after you hurt someone out there! Multitasking is not a thing!
