My 21's engine was noisy and whiny upon acceleration. With the windows down it almost sounded like there was an exhaust leak or maybe engine pre-ignition but neither were true upon further investigation. Also the trans would be very slow to shift and would sometimes make me wonder if it was going to shift at all. The 25 Rubi doesnt have any of these issues. Smooth quiet engine and smooth shifting trans.
You had issues that should've been looked at. My 2020 has over 106000 without those problems.

Something was wrong with both then. The engine and trans are exactly the same.

Congrats on the new Rubicon. I bought a ‘24 Sport S in ‘24 because I simply wanted a small truck with a V-6 versus a turbo 4. Never considered off-road, other than the dirt roads to get to the ranges I shoot at. Then I discovered a bunch of rust underneath the Sport S when it was six months old, two weeks after taking delivery. Dealer did what they could, but I traded a year later for a ‘25 Rubicon.

Somewhere in that timeframe I caught the bug.

Yeah Faricy is great, Ive purchased a lot from them over the years. Ohhh yes Power wagons are nice! Ive had a lot of Rams too, but I would never get another Ram with a Hemi. I got really tired of the exhaust manifold warp, pop bolts issue. If you get a PowerWagon I assume you are going for the diesel?
Not that it matters for you now (and maybe you knew), but for anyone else with broken Hemi exhaust manifolds - BD Diesel makes replacement manifolds that are MUCH nicer and alleviate the issues with the factory manifolds.

I've been thinking of trading in my 2021 Gladiator Rubicon for a 2025 Mojave what made you go with the Rubicon this time?

Yeah I discovered BD Diesel after I had my factory manifolds sanded down by a machine shop. I decided to throw the factory manifolds back on and trade it in. Backstory, I had put headers on it when the factory manifolds warped the first time. The Headers did not last long before they cracked. I did all the work my self and its very cramped, knuckle busting and took the good part of a day to do. It was a lot of work. I decided the last time was going to be the last time ( after basically doing it 3 times). Had I kept the truck I would have tried out the BD Diesel, It looks like a solid product.

This particular Rubicon had a big dealer discount and some great incentives from Jeep. I had never even driven a Rubicon in all my years of owning Jeeps. I fell in love with it first time around. With that said, I would not discount the Mojave at all, it was a great handling Jeep. I think I like the tighter stiffer feel of the Rubi.

Ya that's how I felt in 2021 when I test drove a Mojave felt like it didn't bounce around as much. Thanks

Why? Maybe lack of the real Mojave steering wheel like the 24s and 25s lack?

I actually like the interior of mine now that I have it.

As far as ride - mine is great on the streets and highways, nice easy ride, but on the rough rutted washboard bumpy trails, it's a good solid ride, not mushy at all.

Because I had a JKU Sahara and during that ownership ( I didn't know this at the time ) people told me that only the Rubicon had a front locker. So when we was driving down ths road past a local lot we seen a sand color Mojave it closed but we drove on the lot I walked up and look right down to the button area and seen that it only had rear locker and I was immediately turned off. Much of the terrain I hunt in is clay and rock and clay I wanted the locker and the wider axles. ( I had been reading about them prior) actually the seats in the Mojave are better and ultimately the shocks on mine had to be upgraded to reach the Mojave shocks factory capabilities as the Rubicon shocks sucked.

I wondered about the "need" for a front locker but after talking to some of the more hardcore guys a couple of weeks back (some with crazy builds), several said "never needed it" (BLD seems to do the trick most often)
One guy put in one of those Torsen differentials and really prefers it as it locks when needed, he can steer, and so on. He said no way he'd go back to a "locker" in the front. No switch, it takes care of itself.
